I just got a Raptor 30 V1 W/V-blades really cheap, it has all the available upgrades already installed. It came with a crash kit, two spare sets of blades (woodies) etc. My question is I would like to use this machine to practice autos. I have been flying for years. And have not ever practiced autos. BTW i am 0-2 on forced autorotations. Will the V-blades perform better than the woodies in this application. Thanks for any input.

I can't answer your question as I have never owned v-blades, but my opinion would be to save them and use the woodies for auto practice.

because you already know how to fly, I'd use the ones that are heavier. They will give you a little more hang time

Try and weight the woodies.
The 30's are tough to auto with any blades

ive flown both, the vblades do give you a little bit more hang time, but learning to auto(for me at least) is pretty hard and the most common thing to do is f-up and result in a boom strike.
i would practice with the stockers and once you feel comfortable then throw on the vblades:thumbup:

When I was learning auto's I would make my headspeed high. That with heavy blades will do a great job of keeping the blades spinning. Best blades for autoing IMHO were the V's. My smallest set was 600's for my EVO 50, 690's for my 90 size ships.

Thanks for the input guys. I will try the V-blades first. Anyone know how the Radix blades auto. I will purchase another set of blades if I have to. buying the right blades to practice is cheaper than replacing a bunch of broken stuff.
Thanks again

The Radix blades will give you alot more hang time then the V-blades. I recently went from V-blades to Radix on my 50. The v-blades (TST) will give you more pop and a quicker responce and the radix will be a little slower but will give you more lift
