I would worry a lot more about customer service on helis that ship BEFORE they are ready where people pay to be the test pilots. I have been there and done that, I'll wait until it is ready.

An Aurora will be my first 90. I've seen it fly flown by the best and hold up under conditions that would normally tear apart other brands. The quality of parts and its looks are bar none.

I heard Esky is coming out with a 90 nitro and 90 electric..... ready to go right out of the box! Just charge or add fuel and go for it! They are saying each kit should run around $700 radio and everything! I'm a little nervous about the whole thing being it has a plastic swash and headblock.:)

I would be very leary of a 90 size RTF. Imagine a glitching heli with 700mm blades. It will either be great, or it will be dangerous. It is a little early for April fools, isn't it?

AS long as we are talking about the vaporware machine, we can make it anything we want..

I'm not big on excuses, so frankly I'm done with this heli.
I'm willing to put money that the t-rex 700 makes it to market first... and Avant has had quite a bit of lead time with the aurora.... here is a vid of it being flown in '06

No excuse in the world makes this ok, I'm amazed how steadfast people are being, its borderline stupid imho.
trex-700 baby all the way.
Here is a question for you, what to the Bugatti Veyron and the Avant Aurora both have in common?
They are both beautiful, but you will never own one ;)

not wishing to add to conspiracy theories with alan jnr not flying an aurora at his home event....
HCs aurora vids have dissappeared from youtube?
and erm... am i blind or is there no mention of the aurora here...
http://www.avantrc.com/
Ade
That webpage has never made mention of the Aurora, I believe the Avant webpage would not be updated until when or if the product is ever released!
All the info concerning the Avant Aurora from Avant is here http://www.avantrc.com/support/forumdisplay.php?f=2

For the approx difference of $180 between the 700N and the Aurora , my money is on the Aurora hands down. Good luck riding the upgrade wagon with Align.

What $180 difference? What is the price of the Aurora? I know 2 years ago they posted an introductory price. But I would think in two years, price of materials has went up. Cost of labor here in the USA has increased. I am interested in seeing what the actual price might be when/if released.

$985 Aurora and $800 700N
That was the introductory price in 2006. $985 Just wondering if that price will still be the same when/if it is released. Lots of cost increases in two years.

Price isn't a factor for me. I'd much rather ride the "upgrade" wagon than the "wait and see if it comes out" wagon.

I prefer buying things that actually get delivered. 700N... It may not be an avant, but I will actually show up on my doorstep.

And you'll be able to fly it, not just watch a video of the parts in bins or some rep flying it.
