Hi all

Looking to get an askman mount for the 450, have a few questions about it though. Firstly, how do you mount the camera, because I can't see how it would fit, do you just strap it down? Secondly, because Im using the AR6100, and I only really have the gain channel to use for the shutter, I would have to take out the remote gain from the GEAR channel, would this affect my gyro (Logictech 2100T).

I have the ASKMAN mount, and I can highly recommend it. The camera screws into the tripod using a bolt, the same as if you attach it to a tripod.

I also built a circuit that lets me operate the camera shutter and the tilt setting of the mount from the gyro channel. You can record the gyro setting by pressing a button on the circuit, and from then on it outputs that gyro signal continuously.

To control the tilt setting, you program a range of settings whilst it's on the ground (e.g. 0 degrees, -30 degres, -45 degrees and -90 degrees) and flick the gyro switch up and down quickly to change tilt settings. If you want to take pictures, you flip the gyro switch up and leave it there for > 1 second, and it will continue to take pictures (continuous loop) until you flick the switch back towards you.

PM me if you're interested. Are you sorted for a camera yet?
