It IS in the manual on page 16 "Canopy and Decal Mounting"
I personally would not install them. I had them installed on my 1st set of frames and those stand-offs were the first reason for the frames to crack in ALL 4 locations. If you really want to put them on, at least use washers up against the frames so it will help to spread some of the pressure when they get bumped or you tip the heli over.
They really serve no purpose IMO...the canopy doesn't shift around.
Anyhow...just my .02

Thx for the info guys but you got me totally wrong, maybe i wasn't clear in the other post.
What i was\am asking is WHY do i have soo many bits left over, what are all those screw, nuts & bolts for ?
I wasn't asking how to install the bumbers as i already saw that thread and posted in there, i was just mentioning them as some of the pts left over.
So again to be clear, I dont know what all those bits in the pic are for and am asking if any of you know what they are for. Have i messed up somewhere ?
Thx

Shu nut I had the pretty much the same left over! I went over the manual 3 times i didn't miss anything.
I hate it! Same on every other build i've done, you end up with random bits left over.

Hey Guys, I just want to say a Big Massive Thx to All You Guys Who Helped Me Out, I really appreciate it.
After a few issues I finally got to give Her a maiden flight last friday, just did 2 packs hovering and lite flying about.
Now done 29 flights and fliying it harder each flight, and i'm glad to say the heli fly Sooooo much better than i ever imagined.
As i'm only used to a 450Trex this is a totally different flying world for me, the size, the sounds of the blades is just amazing, and maaan the power it just crazy :wow2:.
Also glad to say that i haven't had to do anything to the heli at all apart from just turning up the piro rate, everything is just bang on and no issues to deal with. The only things i dont like with this heli is the massive spark and bang when i connect the lipo and the rear landing gear should have been a little longer than the front to give the tail more clearance for take offs.
So again thx to all You Guys who helped me out hug:, thx to Mercuriell & Finless for the build vids and to Mercuriell again for all the other help he gave in this thread and PM's.
Been grounded for the past two days due to horrible weather, i'm diying to go fly.
I'm like this now :dance ... itching to go fly.
My Logo-600 =.

Hey Guys
Using DX7 & AR7000
Not sure if i should be worrying about this or not but..................
Flew 1 pack today, had a rest then went to fly a 2nd pack but i had no connection between the Tranny & Receiver, the cyclic servos moved to there fail safe or whatever position and holding but i had no talking when i moved the sticks.
I turned them off then on again but still nothing. I read ages ago that sometime the Spectrum Radios wont connect if the TX is too near the RX, so i moved the TX about 9ft away and tried again but still nothing.
I wondered if it had somehow Un-Bound so i tried to rebind it but still nothing.
Came home & tried again but still no go.
So i went to work wondering for hrs what the cause could be, came home from work and tried again and BANG ! connected straight away, turned RX & TX on & off many times and it connects every time now.
Sooooo ....what i am mainly asking is should i be concerned about this asin they may be a problem somewhere......... or just put it down to a Spectrum thing and go fly ?
Its strange cus i tried to connect many times but it just wouldn't have it, at the feild or home, then hrs later at home its suddenly starts working fine.
:dontknow
Thx

If you don't like the sparks when you connect your LiPo, just look at this...

I will put it in my bird now...

Hi Shunut,
I had that happen with my AR7000 on my 600N. I rebound the radio then it would work for awhile and then do it again. It did it three times and I said, "that's it," and bought a new AR7000. It's just not worth taking a chance with the receiver costing the same as a set of blades. I have that one slotted for a trip to Horizon, but I haven't packaged it up yet.
Hey Panda,
I'm running a spark arrestor on my 8S 600E. It helps keep the spark down when I connect the ESC. It's pretty simple, but now I'm wondering if the extra wire is worth the weight. I'm using an 80 ohm resistor in line with my Jazz 55 ESC.
Keep 'em flying.:YeaBaby:

Panda, Been thinking about doing something to stop the massive spark, not sure if ill bother now though cus 1, i'm lazy, and 2, i'm used to it now.
Thats bad news LJS, i dont blame you for getting a new one, i hope mine doesn't do it again, if it keeps doing it ill send it back.
BUT with mine it still wouldn't work after rebinding so i hope mine isn't as bad as yours was.
How many flights had you had on the RX before the probs ? Mine had had about 130 before the RX prob.
Flew 2 packs today at the same field and it was ok, so i hope it was just a one off issue.
Peace

I don't worry about the sparks, its only really big if i don't fly for a week or more.
Hi Shunut,
I had about 130 flights on that receiver. I'm just hoping that they find something wrong with it when I send it in. If they don't, I won't trust it enough to fly it.
I also had trouble with the one that replaced that one. It was giving me rudder and elevator glitches so I had to put in a third one. That one has been functioning fine. So I have two to send in. I was going to go Futaba if I had any more trouble, but I've put on a couple hundred flights this summer on the three that I have, and have had no more trouble.
Hope your issue works itself out. On a positive note, I've had no crashes as a result of these problems. So I'm only out the cost of the receivers.
Keep 'em flying.:YeaBaby:

helicraze. mine is a massive spark nearly every time, your lucky :)
WoW LJS ! You have had some issues with the RX's, glad to hear your trouble free now.
Keep us posted on the results when you get the RX's back. (pm me or post here or whatever )

It's not a 'Spark eliminator' only, it is also an electronic switch for the LiPo!
