The "c" rating is how many amps the battery is capable of putting out, and is based on the capacity. A 30C battery can put out 30 times its capacity (in amp-hours). Example: A 30c 2200 mah pack (2.2 amp-hours) could put out 66 amps (30 x 2.2). But a 30c 1000 mah pack could only put out 30 amps.

You want to buy a pack that can provide the maximum current your motor can draw without exceeding its continuous c-rating. In fact, you should choose one that will do it without exceeding half its continuous c-rating. This will assure long life from the pack and sufficient power to your motor. That advice applies no matter what kind of flying you do.

If a lipo does not indicate the c-rating, don't buy it. That is "must know" information and should be available for any pack worth buying.
