$1200 worth of tires on my truck this week may trim my budget too much..
We'll have to juggle some funds and see if I can still pull this off..

I am going to try to swing it but I have spent $600 in heli repairs in the last 1.5 months. I really need to learn to fly better or start doing some maint.

How much are the local hotels running?

TerryBelanger
10-10-2005, 02:53 PM
Most are running around $50-$60 per night
Tent camping is available if money is tight!

Make sure if you book at the Jameson Inn you tell them you're there for a flyin at Hodges hobbies and they should give you a lower rate.

In my role as Assistant Groundskeeper at the Hodges Hobbies Aerodrome, I have to say that the place has never looked better - and I've been flying there for 6 years! There's been some rain in the last week and the grass really greened up. I mowed it Sunday and there are just two thin spots in the grass.

We'll have a new and improved frequency board installed also. The new shop is pretty much done and it's really nice to work on your stuff inside a well-lit and air conditioned shop. Mac is also stocking up on Heli kits, parts, and fuel. So ya'll be sure to remember your checkbooks!

Hey Lamebird, About them tires, if you will just take your dremel tool and grind them wear bars down a little you can get another 2000 to 3000 miles out of them.
To bad you didn't know this before you bought new ones.

I should have a list of confirmed pilots by Tuesday of next week

Marcus Kim, Eric Larson, Mott Botos, Clintstone, Chris Bergen, Malorie Zastrow, and Ray & Kyle Stacey.

There will be plenty more comming. I don't want to list any other names until I get there permission.

Demos and classes and contests will be held on Saturday

So far I have people interested in the following contests

Drag Racing
Autorotation

I have interest in the following classes:

Heli Setup begginers
Heli setup Intermediate to advanced

We may get a few other classes/competitions as interest dictates at the event.

We do have 1 change to the flyer. Insteadof having Lunch and Dinner on Saturday we are now having Lunch on Friday and Lunch on Saturday. The majority of the people I spoke with like to go out for dinner after they get done flying.

I'm trying to obtain a video projector so we can show videos of the days flying during the evening hours. Let me know if anyone would like to lend us one for the weekend!

Have a great week and weekend and I hope to see you all there!
