When you boot up does the LED stay on or off? If it's off your in rate mode - change to HH mode to boot the heli
If it's flashing it means there is an input command - check your trims etc
Oh and do not touch the heli or sticks whilst the gyro is booting up

Installed new gyro last night,it fired up right away, tells me the 401 was time to go.niice to have the led for a warning. for others keep a eye onyour led before you go flying.thanks for that post above.

I have the same problem. I have a X9303 with an AR6200 and when I power the heli the 401 flashes rapidly than slowly. In HH or rate no difference. If I do it many times it will than lock on a solid LED ?

Did you rebind once you setup the heli? And with the switch in HH mode?
The reason is, for the period between the Rx powering up and it linking to the Tx, it outputs the bind positions to the servos and gyro. So if you added any subtrim during setup the gyro may see that is input. And if you originally bound in rate mode, the gyro will first see rate setting upon power up.
Bind 3 times. To get started. When you get basic setup done, and when you finalize setup.

Thank you! No I did not bind after my initial setup!

The slow flash is an error. It means it didn't initialize correctly.
Rebinding with the switch in heading hold will usually fix it for 2.4 systems. It could also mean your radio isn't setup correctly or the gain wire isn't plugged in.

I will rebind, the gain wire is in the gear ch of the AR6200 and when it initializes properly (sometimes) gain works fine.

I am having a similar issue (which resulted in a crash :( ) -Heli flew great (even with out a gyro :) ) -until I put it in stunt mode and I was unable to recover...lol -anyway, I did take off with the gyro flashing thinking that was the mode I wated to be in! --When you say rebind, are you saying to rebind with the receiver/radio again? After going through all the settings, would that erase everything you just setup?

Yes rebind and no it won't wipe anything out, it will set the fail safes. Do it with the throttle at low and the the gyro switch in heading hold.
