Well guys my Gohbee was great flying. Had about 17 Flights of great fun and then a "twitch" start coming. Hmmm it was not very predictable when it comes. Sometimes it did not twitch at all. I checked the Logitech Gyro..everything rock solid...i checked belt...hmmm out of 3 times it was 2 times not optimal, i corrected it seemed to be fine. Then next flight...the copter does it again, strange no change in motor rpm no sideways turn... and i got a DX-7. My 450 does nothing like that. I rechecked everything and was thinking...the belt..re-tension..but i found the one-way bearing seems to be a bit "stiff" but i did not epect there a prob in 17 flights allready...ok so flying again...fast forward left..right..left...then close by near the ground and "twicht" it nearly touches the ground..tried to save it by pulling nick and giving pitch...my eyes where big...big like apples...i recognized how the tail rotor was gone in 10000 parts and then i just could switch to autorotation removed any RPM and watched the heli dying... see the pictures. the mainrotor incl spindel and everything was catapulted out of the heli. Titastic plastic broken in the middle and basically a complete destroy. :-(

Even if this is a big bird i did not expect so much damage but i still dont understand why i had that twitches. They arent rf glitches for shure and the servos where not glitching at all at the workbench so i still suspect the oneway bearing or the belt. But this is now history. Btw one picture show the bad parts on the left and the good ones on the right.

Sorry to see that happen.
First thoughts are that cold weather will make any crash a lot worse.
All common plastics get brittle in the cold.

You mentioned that you checked the belt tension twice.
Did you check it at home or in a warm area?
Going from room temp to the cold can shrink an aluminum boom by up to .125 inch (3.2mm) so a belt that is tight on the bench will be to loose out in the cold.
This could cause the kicking that you mentioned.

You said that when it glitched close to the ground and you pulled up hard, is it possible that you hit the tail on the ground at that point an broke the tail?

Contrary to popular belief. 2.4 is not immune to all forms of interference.

Holy crap, that was a bad one. Only time I ever did that much damage was when it was freezing outside. Plastics do get a bit brittle. Hope you get her back up soon!

max i sure hope you get her back up soon bro.I do agree about the tailbelt tension.I read many times about rappy tails locking and twitching due to loose belts, just keep in mind that rappy adjustments pertain to stingers to.

Did you get your parts ordered? Curious how much it cost due to Gohbees low cost on parts?
