Try this one, works for me !! Made a standoff from the plastic hexagonal bolts that came spare, drill a hole use the spare selftappers and voilà ... done !

So just a question about these header tanks, wont they allow for more fuel = longer flight times?

i went with the UK, but after chasing a fuel cut problem and removing the nipple and clunk a few times, it has developed a small leak. i think it is the o-ring where it goes into the plastic, but i will have to replace it before i can tell. but still a very nice put together tank with everything you need.

+1 using it currently best $10 bucks so far. During a crash mounting clip for the tank snapped off. $2 for the repair of the mounting clip. Readily available almost anywhere.

Well i did fly my new T-Rex 600 today for the first time. After having a hard time to get the TT Machine up and running because the damn 2in1 ground cable was properly connected but the locktite and the screw-color block it. Had time to find out. Anyway the mount is very easy you can get any of the Raptor-Tankes i got one from my Gohbee Stinger 50 around (Which i crashed so bad). And just mounted it using a spare spacer and that’s it. The only problem so far is that it wobbles a bit because i did not menage to get rid of the vibrations in the lower third before take-off.

Hope this picture gives an idea. I just do slow ff flights and hovering and such...oh and btw TT 53H is slurping the tank empty in hell a few time!

Any comments welcome.

That's kind of a weird position for the header. Most guys here put it right next to the main tank but you should be fine. I used fuel tubing over the selftappers to get rid of the wobble.

I disagree to some extent. The header installation is a little more critical. It's elevation is important and should be as close to in-line with the carb as possible, meaning the supply tube exiting the header needs to be the same height as the carb. The way he has it now, lower than the carb, he may experience eventual leaning as the fuel is spent because it must draw fuel from below carb level. Also, if inverted, the condition would reverse and maybe cause a rich condition. Even though there is a pressure line constantly pushing on fuel, fuel level is important to consistant performance at any attitude.
My 2 cents.

I added a new hole to my frame and mounted it different. To prevent from wiggeling to much i used mounting tape between the tanks.

Max2342,
Looks like you have the header just about where it should be.

I cut the head off a M3x20 screw and inserted that into a standoff as a stud, then screwed the stand off and stud into the rear screw on the bottom bearing block. No drilling of holes and gets the Headertank a bit further forward.

This is exactly what I just did on my new 600. I am surprised more people haven't done this instead of drilling a hole in the frame. Less chance of this breaking off and cracking the frame also.
