View Full Version : Spektrum DSP60 servos for cyclic on E200?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any experience using Spektrum DSP60 servos instead HS-45?

I'm planning using 3 x DSP60 for the cyclic!

My setup will be using AR6100, stock ESC, stock motor and extra CC BEC.

Will this work or just stick with 45s or the Blue Birds 605 servos?

Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I have them and really like them. You will have to mount the pitch and aileron from the inside and the elevator will need some spacers, no big deal really. I am using the stock ESC controller with no problems. I did change to miniature bullet connectors to the motor.

If you get the programmer you can zero the centering so you will have no subtrim as well as set them for heli cyclic controls or even for the tail (rudder) if you were to use one for it (I have the Logictech LTS-3100G)

I have one with DS70's installed little bigger than the DS60's and they fit great. The programer helps with centering, travel and gain.

I would recommend the DS70's, HS45's or S3154's personaly.

DS70's???

Who makes those? Not Spektrum!

Thanks!

I'll get the 60, and 70 on the list for future reference.

With a recommendation for the three listed above, hum, maybe a large "B" for an actual Buzzkill recommendation instead of the usual "+" ;-)

Let us know what you settle on, and how it works out!

Very true.

Once again I have blundered. I don't know what I was thinking. So for the record,

Correction, I have DSP60's installed on a 200 and they work fine.

Spectrum makes DS60's and DSP75's in sub-micro servos.

Well, if ya don't step on a toe now and then, you ain't dancin!

... but the 45, 60, and 75's are all on the last list, for comparison.
I'll keep an eye on the threads, happy to track down anything you guys come up with. Keep the comments coming,

FWIW, I decided to go with the Dymonds for cyclic, and 2100/3100 on the tail.

Thanks everyone!

Just want to confirm!!

* Does DSP60 fit without any modd or need some spacers?
* HS-45 fit perefectly without any modd or spacers?
* DSP75 fit perfectly? I noticed 75 is just a bit bigger does it need any cutting or filling of the frame to fit or any modd or just a drop in like the 45s?

Thanks!

Bonzia888,

Check my servo/gyro matrix thread.
It appears that the dsp75 is about 2mm wide for the frame, which will require some modification. The depth of this unit is also a question, I believe there was a recent post about the distance between frame side on the 200, or simply measure yours.

BUT!!

I've just started getting information. I have not measured my frame, as I have not received it yet. I have never seen a dsp75, nor done anything but list the lies posted on lurid sales brochures ;-)

Please let us know how it goes!

My hs45 fitted perfectly only mod was the ball link on the elevator, I had to grind it down to prevent touching the servo face I think Buzz used the spacers to achieve the same result. No problems with mine. The dsp60 sound great if you have the programmer for them, otherwise you have to play with the servo links to get 90 deg's, personnally didn't bother got them as near as I could without modding.

Still waiting for my parts to repair her though!

DSP60's and HS45's both fit fine.
