now i'm pissed. went outside to practice hovering due to very low winds. well the tail didn't act as it should. in hh i could turn the tail to the right
( counterclockwise ), but nothing clockwise. i decided to change the direction switch. unplugged the battery, and changed the switch. nope that wasn't it. put it back. after arming, and rearming, and making sure the switches were right on the radio i gave up, and went inside to ponder the situation, and warm up. 30 degrees outside with 3 mph wind.

i bench checked the movement of the tail. seems ok. moved the stick back and forth. seemed ok in hh, and rate mode. armed her up again in the kitchen, and the same thing. counterclockwise spin.

last time out she flew ok as i could fly her, and broke 1 tail blade. replaced both blades with new blades. today i'm at a loss. i'm going to go threw the tail/gyro setup, but is there anything else to try/look for?

man this sucks to say the very least :dontknow :arggg:

the tail blades spin counterclockwise, and the main spin clockwise. here are some pics.

Damn man, everything looks ok. Hard to tell what's happening. Maybe a bad tail servo?

Is your tail linkage rod binding at all?

ok i figured it out. i asked Jay at my lhs what spare parts to have on hand. he went threw the list of things i figured would be needed as well. he also told me the pulley that drives the tail rotor has a bad problem of stripping on the shaft. before work today i remembered that. sure enough it had stripped. Jay told me to put a drop of thin CA on the shaft just to be safe. well i didn't, but just did. i'll still get a replacement plus the upgrade part. just something to keep in mind.
