I am using NES 537 for cyclic contro. The one on the elevator went bad today. I have only flown about 1 & 1/2 gallons of fuel through this heli. All parts were brand new. I flew out about half a tank today and landed to check for a hot motor. Refueled and started and something was funny. After a brief search I found the bad servo. So what gives? I did not change anything. Why would it all of a sudden stop working? This servo is not old enough to have suffered any abuse. NO crashes. Should I be worried about pluging in a new one?
Thanks Alan

I tried this servo on another receiver with a different transmitter so I doubt it is the receiver or trans.

You need better servos, the 537 is not up to the task. Next failure may hurt you or someone else.
The 537 is a very low end servo, really not made for helis.

OK I am new so what do you suggest? I am set up for training not 3D, and probably never will. I like scale flying.

Thanks Alan

At least a mid-level digital servo with better than 70oz/in torque. the older analog 4131's did pretty good for smooth stuff.
