DX7 Dual Rate Help

I'm trying to work out the set up on my DX7 for throttle hold and rudder dual rate. I wanted to set up dual rate on the rudder stick but this uses the throttle hold switch, is there a way around this???

IF you want to use D/R on the rudder channel...use the auto dual rate function is available that allows to automatic selection of the desired rates via the three-position flight-mode switch. Pages 79-81 of Spektrum manual.

Instead of using the D/R function for the rudder channel, I use the rudder "Travel Adjust" to accomplish the same thing as D/R. For instance, I set the Travel adjust to 70% Right and 70% Left. This will tame down the piro rate...:D

Thnaks for that, I was looking at the same, what i really wanted was to assign the dual rate/throttle hold switch to the elevator switch for rudder rate, leaving the throttle hold in the same position,I see you can do this in the aero mode on the DX7 but not it appears in the heli mode.

In the dx6i, there is a 'D/R COMBI' option in the setup list. If the dx7 has the same, you can use it to assign one switch to turn on/off all 3 D/R (including rudder).
