Can't seem to find anyone who has the blade grip conversion kit for the T-Rex 600n. Are there any other options?
Esprit model has the upgrade listed on their site for preorder.

Looks like they just dropped the price too, it was $150.
If you don't want to wait for the kit check out the PDF file in the above link, it lists some of the part numbers for the conversion. You could probably order the Mikado grips and spindle for the head and convert the Align washout for the swash driver.
I think it is best to just go with the Mikado Trex600 conversion kit. There is too much slop in the trex600 ball joints, including the washout driver imop. Been there, tried it!

Thanks for your feedback Tom. Do you think the Align upgraded swash and washout base would be any better seeing as the washout arms now have the extra bearings?

Yes the new Trex600 washout base with the bearings on the link that goes diectly to the swash is a lot better. You still need to drill/install a couple of setscrews to hold it to the shaft though. The Mikado swash driver is a much better unit imop but it does require you to use larger balls on the swash though (provided in the conversion kit).

Is this because the MIkado balls are a different diameter to the Align balls? I'm looking to use a Mikado swash driver to convert an Evo 50 to flybarless. I haven't checked the size of the swash balls on the Evo.

Yes, the Align balls seem to be just slightly smaller than Mikado balls. If you try to use Mikado ball links on the Align balls you will notice a lot of slop and they are pretty easy to pop off as well. I don't know how these compare to the Evo links.
Also, if you try to use Align ball links on Mikado balls, you need to ream them out a bit or the link may break/split.
Pity thease guys cannot seem to standardise these simple things!

Hi,
I was tired of waiting for the spartan gyro to come availlable....and since I was reading about flybarless for quite some time i decided to go for the V-bar including t-rex 600 head conversion, and save tha money that i would have used for the gyro.
I want to reuse the futaba 9254 tail servo, is that o.k.? Or should i move to a BLS from hitec? I have three Hitec HS6975HB's on ccpm I assume this is sufficient as well?
I'm reading the PDF that comes with the mikado t-rex600 conversion kit. In the first picture they show that that distance between the balls on the servo arm should be 21 mm. Distance on the t-rex arms is 30 mm....Somehow this is crooked and you wil get binding. How did you guys managed this? Is it really that critical to have them on 21 mm? Only reason I can think of is to gain more resolution from the servo...
Anyway...I learned to set up things per Finless.....if I would set it up as in the pdf he will never take me serious again haha :YeaBaby:
Best regards,
Maurice
Maurice,
I just brough the arms on my 3-Fut9252 cyclic servo arms in a hole to ~22mm total and lengthened all the push/pull links one full turn. I have not noticed any binding with this. As you say, you need to bring them in at least this far to improve the resolution of the servos.
I'm using a Fut 9254 on the tail and it works fine. Hope this helps.

Hi TomC
Thanks for the reply. Just got a mail from the webshop back.....out of stock...Man it's hard to get some parts these days....must be allmost holiday season then
I got one more chance in another webshop. But that one comes including the airflow sensor. Does it mean that it is an older verson of hardware? Or is there no difference?
Thanks,
Maurice
Maurice,
This sounds like an older unit. I understand that the new V-bar software makes the airflow sensors obsolete. I would not buy them if I were you.
Cheers,
