will probably be awhile before I can afford another bird. I'm up to 6 heli's now since my first in late Dec. Hell I can't even fly 3d yet. Well that's another story.
Fleet is
Blade 400(selling soon)
TREX 450SEV2(selling soon)
TREX600E CF
TREX600E GF
TREX600N sport OS 50 Hyper just broken in and waiting for weather to let it eat
TREX600N Pro(just ordered, not built)

So yeah, I need another copter like a hole in my head. I've wanted a 90 sized bird for the power, sounds, size etc... However, I just can't get past the gobs of goo, and nitro isn't cheap.

Let me clarify, I could afford to spend $1k a month or my hobby if I choose to, so it's not that I can't afford fuel etc... It's just that I don't want to. Call me frugal or w/e I just don't like waste, and FOR ME NOW a 90 nitro would be a waste due to my limited skills. Maybe later an Avant or TREX 700 when I'm actually capable. But hoovering and mild FF with a loop or a roll doesn't justify my expenditure on a 90 now.

So that leads me to why in the heck do I consider a gasser. Well they have the size, sound, fun of a 90 nitro bird, with maybe some different challenges, and fuel is dirt cheap. Again, I know it's silly to buy a 1-2k heli and worry about fuel charges, but it's one of the reasons I picked my Z06 as it gets nearly 28mpg on highway and has 505hp :).

I really don't want to spend a ton on this heli though. What I was considering if you will bear with me is a Gohbee stinger 90, and a raptor gasser conversion. I think the stinger has a better head setup, and from what I gather is a raptor frame. If the raptor gasser conversion would work, I think that would be a sweet setup.

Also, will a modified Gas motor make near 90 nitro power. Say when I finally am able to do stunts etc... will the gasser keep up. I would rather spend the $ upfront on the gasser motor modification from say Toxic versus later having to redo anything.

Also, what are your guys recommendations for servos, gyros etc...

thx again for being patient with me :)
