ok i have a question for everybody... i have g3.5 and i tried to find a hurricane but the only one i found required a expansion pack... i currently fly the trex500 and diamond 90 on there but i would like to have a hurricane or at least something closer to one without buying a expansion... does anybody know where to get one?

not really sure since I don't have 3.5 (yet)... but I know that some sims have a large following of people that make their own models... is there anything like this for 3.5?? if so, you might be able to get one off the net for free

yea you can make your own the problem is im not exactly sure on all of these measurements that it takes...

if you can make your own... then I bet someone out there has made one already....I'll do some searching and see if I can find one :D

I've been flying it on my G4 for the past weeks or so while awaiting for the arrival of the Hurricane 550.

Have a look at the free Heli-X. Great flight physics and I created a Hurricane model... -> http://www.heli-x.net/
Don't forget to download the updated Hurricane config files.

I'll have to check that one out... free is always the right price :D

kool, well i got the trex 500 to the same size/weight as the hurricane but im trying to figure out how to slow the rpm down because the blades are spinning at 2500rpm

wish I could tell you.. changing the gear ratio should do it.. but no idea how to do that in 3.5

Heli-X sim.. I tried it.. that sim is more twitchy than my 450 when flying it for real... but I like it :D I figure if I can get good in a twitchy sim I can handle my real heli even better. I did notice that if I go to change any setting related to sound or video.. or even wind.. my FPS (frames per second) drop down to 5FPS.. I have a gig of ram.. a 64 bit processor..and a 512mb video card... so my hardware should be fine...

well heres a pic of the screen that has all the gear ratios in it... would you be able to tell me what to set the numbers on from this?

change the engine rotor ratio. Try a few to get the rpm's you want. go to 10 or 11. I've been working on creating a model closely resembling the characteristics of my hurricane. I'm not quite there. Every time I get the twitchyness close to my heli it makes responsiveness very poor. :(

I'll let you know if I figure it out

i was working on mine tonight and i think i got it pretty good, its now at 2200 rpm with the z20 42t and 14t pinon is supposed to be the setup... with 2 3s 2200mah batteries... im not sure how well it flies to the real thing because im waiting on my upgrade kit to get here before i spin that much rpm... i can post it up for somebody to try it... but it does still have the trex 500 canopie lol

you should post it. We can all work on it and come up with an accurate sim or our heli's.

ok i tried to upload but it says invalid file type, then i tried to upload on knife edge and it said file already exist... any ideas how 2 fix it?

Can you try to zip it, they accept only zip file below 2MB.

If the file size is more than 2MB, then may want to split it into 2 or more.

Just tested, noticed that the rudder is too fast and cyclic a bit too sensitive compare to my hurri.

medtech

yeah, it's too sensitive. I've been adjusting tons of parameters and can't seem to get it stable and still have good responsiveness.

Don't know if you have tis option...on my Aerofly deluxe it has an option to slow down the speed.....when I go to about 75% it makes the heli much more like the real thing....

It's called "Simulation Speed" and I have it set at 80% (just looked)

if you go into edit and go to electronics you can edit the speed of the servos to make them slower

ok i messed with it and try this one... i put 8 degrees instead of 9 for cycle and i put ds821s with 9254 on tail running at 6v
