I just bought a pair of TP 2100 11.1V 15C Lipos for my Trex SE V2 (15C cont, 24C burst)
I just want to know if I made a good purchase?
I know that Those batteries are not extreme power, anyway I will be starting inverted, loops, rolls, etc. not hard 3D stuff by now. Are they good for this purpose?, Flight times?, reliability?, etc.
Thanks,
JC

I ran those packs with the 430L motor for a long time when I started out. The 430XL will pull too much current though.

So you mean I made a bad desicion?

I run one of those packs on my SE (w/XL). Works very well. Runs just as good as my 20-25C packs. I run mine for 6 min of aerobatics and they come back as cool as my other batteries. I must have about 50 flights on it now and there is no signs of damage. I often run it hard with alot of back to back stuff.

If you're running a 100% throttle curve you will most likely shorten the life of those packs.
I run one of those packs in my V2, and it seems happy enough, but I run a 90-80-90 curve on the throttle (I'm a 'beginner' so dont need the power).

Yea, your right..I run the XL at about 90% flat. 100% might be too much.

Ok, thanks for your answers, it is good to hear that I won't be selling my today's arrived batts, on the other hand, with 90% throttle, are you able to do basic 3D manouvers?, how far can you go with 3D?, how many RPM does the 90%represents?

Check out this HS calculator to give you an idea http://www.readyheli.com/Online_Headspeed_Calculator_s/81.htm
I dont consider my flying 3D at all. I would call it hard aerobatics. Lots of flips, rolls and loops in fast succession. I am also now learning inverted hovering and the lipo has no problem with any of that. I wouldn't sell them cause you won't get what you paid. I use Flight Power, Thunder Power (25Cs) and Kong Power lipos as well. The ones you have hold up as well as those (for the kind of flying I do.) The best thing about those lipos is they are light. Lightest of all I own.

Realize that even at 90% throttle, the ESC pulls full amperage for each pulse. It changes the pulse width sent to the motor, not the pulse voltage.
The XL really needs an 18C or higher pack. You are slowly damaging the packs running them with an XL motor.

Again, thanks a lot for your valuable advices and comments.
So, Should I use them or not?, let them slowly damage after each use and pay the price of this painfull Lipo learning.
More advices will be welcome.

Your choice. You can:
Use them and get shorter life.
Buy a nice plank and fly it with them.
Swap out for a 430L or X motor.
Sell them and buy better packs.
And probably a bunch more options.

Ok, thanks for your replies.
Pinecone you convinced me, so I agree with everybody's comments but I just called my FHS (Far Hobby Shop) and they are willing to switch those batteries for the TP 2200 extreme V2 ones and bank transfer the cost difference (about 18 usd for both), and taking the advantage that my cousin lives there, he will pick them up and bring them next week, so no additional shipping cost.
That's it.
Thanks again for that knowledge storm :-)

15C continuous is about 31A !!!!! Your esc is only 35A !! Don't fall into this i need 500000C lipos to hover game. I have been running an 18C lipo since day one and it has seen several 20-25C packs come and go. I fly pretty aggressive these days doing the usually stationary flips, piro flips, funnels, hurricanes, tic tocs ....... and i get about 4.5min out of a 2100mah pack. I can show you some data from my eagltree and for the most part iam only pulling about 15-20A with the occasional peaks of 38A.

I agree. As I stated I fly one of these packs. Its one of my best. True, I only have about 50 flights on it but its holding up very well so far. I have had some older TP 25C 2170s that did not perform as well as these.
Anyway...good choice on the TP 2200 V2s. I have one of those as well. Much better than the older 2170s. I was concerned you wouldn't be able to return the 15C packs for full credit... They sure arnt cheap.

Hi, thanks again HFG, Hydrojoe
I am sure you are right, no doubt, anyway the bateries are on their way back to Guadalajara, there is one of my FHS. I hope to have the 2200 V2 back next wednesday.
Keep you posted about the TP 2200 V2 performance.
