Hi,

I've just received my V-bar today.
I have a few questions :
Does it need to be turned on in order to program it via the computer.
Has any of you ever experienced the MAC OS version for Vbar ? It would be easier to me as I'm on mac.
And :
Does the stock 600E vbar program works well ?

Thanks again,

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

yes, the Vbar unit needs to have external power to get it connected to the Vbar software.

I am on both systems but I haven't tried the Mac port of the Vbar software yet as this is online since last weekend. Please find a new entry about the Mac version of the Vbar software in the Vbar Wiki (http://vstabi.de/wiki/index.php?title=MAC_and_VStabi).

Cheers, Lars

thanks for your answer,
I have another question :
Is it possible to connect sensor and USB link at the same time ?
it seems impossible to me.

and does the preconfigured trex600e program sufficient enough to have a good setup ?

thx again

Of course it should be possible to have the sensor and the USB cable connected at the same time!

Re. your T-Rex 600 setup: With the latest Vbar software (beta) they have introduced new tabs to support 'easy setups' of different models, which also supports the T-Rex600. But as I am on the 'Logo side', I don't know how good this setup is on a T-Rex. Please check the Vbar forum to find out more.

As I am also still new to Vbar, I am playing around actually w/ a new plugin for the software called 'Easy Setup' which is a guided wizard-style setup for the Vbar parameters and is not limited to one special model. Find more information here: http://www.vstabi.de/forum1/read.php?9,8072

I had the same problem with the USB connector, I ended up cutting off the rubber on the left side and heat shrinking it.

Also new to the world of V-Stabi, still getting my T-rex 600 sorted out. But hey, you'll love it!

Hi Nicolas,

I have the older Vbar version w/ a serial port instead of USB and this works fine. Probably you really have to cut off some rubber from the USB connector to make this fitting. These cables aren't expensive, so give it a try... :)
