I want to make the switch to a lipo regulator on my rappy 30. I just seen the align in a mag with a built in glow ign. What are some of your setups, and what do you recommend.
Thanks.

Personally, I like the Fromeco Arizona Reg. It has the set voltage for the tail, and you can adjust the rest of the servos voltage for 4.8 or 6v.

I'm running a FlightTech FT8AVR reg and are very pleased with this one. It's adjustable between 5v to 6v. And I'm using a FP7.4 2100mah RX battery.

I like this set up. Formeco custom make our Arizona Heli Regulators I fly all day with JR 8717 servo's. try this link out.

I dont suppose you would have a picture of this wired in to your RX , Ive just purchased 1 and its got more wires than i know what to do with . and how do you adjust it voltage to 6v
Sorry for the dumb questions but the align reg was simple to wire up:)

There are two battery connectors and two receiver connectors. You only need to use one of each. The other set is redundant for fail-safe use or high current use.
Voltage adjustment is made using the dial on the side of the unit. Hook up a charged battery to the unit and measure the unit's output at the receiver end...adjust to the output voltage that you desire.

Thany you very much much for the advice. Now im running brushless servo's all round so i would say thats high current So if im reading the instruction right i have to connect the 2 wires to the RX and leave the fail safe because it wont be used. is this correct?
I never saw a thing in the instructions about the voltage adjustment dial
many thanks

If you're talking about the Flight Tech regulator it has two inputs, hook the two wires from the battery up to them. It has two outputs, plug them into two open slots on the reciever.
The switch hooks up to the regulator, its labeled, no power flows from the battery through the switch to the reciever like a normal set up, if you looked at a wiring diagram it would be off to the side. Its job is to hold the regulator in an off state, if it fails, the default is power on at the regulator.
Make sure you unplug the battery if you're going to leave the model sit more than a day or two.
