I am not even sure where to begin, lets see...

I guess my biggest problem is trying to figure out which balance adapters I am suppose to order along with the chargers - it would probably help if I knew what to call the balance adapters on my batteries in the first place.

Not counting cheap 2S lipos, I own the following:

2 Kong Power - 3S1P 2200mAh 25C Lipos
1 Align - 3S1P - 2100 mAh 20C Lipo
1 Align - 6S1P - 2500 mAh 25C Lipo

Chargers:

DN Power 4S charger (replaced by):
Bantum BC6-10

Now here is where things get confusing:

The Kong Power batteries have what I consider "mini" balance adapters. I would love to know what their official name is? (is this a TP connector?)

The Align 6S1P batter has similar style balance adapters - but two of them. One with 4 wires and one with 6? This is confusing me.

The Align 3S1P has a normal sized balance adapter (not the mini) - definitely different than the Align 6S1P battery. What is this style officially called? Why did they change styles?

My Bantam BC6-10 charger came with the ThunderPower/Apex/FP balance adapter which seems to fit what I am calling the "mini" balance leads.

Which means that my Kong Power batteries and Align 6S1P batter fit fine, however, my Align 3S1P does not.

Why do my 2 Aligns have 2 different style connectors? Can't everyone just get along?

Anyway, I guess other than venting, I have 2 questions:

What do I need to connect my left out Align 3S1P battery with its non-mini sized balance connector?

Can I connect my 6S1P Align to the TP/Apex/FP adapter? Does the 4 wire connector go into the receptor labeled 1-3 and the 6 wire connector go into the receptor labeled 4-8? Thats a total of 10 wires for a 6S battery. How does this work?

I think I would pay extra if someone made a universal adapter board which included all styles of connectors on one board.

Wow. And I haven't even begun to understand the art of Lipo conditioning.

Thanks for any help...

Kong Power uses TP taps now. Align is Align/Dualsky. On our web site, www.rcaccessory.com (http://www.rcaccessory.com) we have a complete list of the lipo battery tap configuration guide.

The Align 6S pack, we do not have an adapter for.

So just to clarify.

It appears the Align 6S pack uses the TP style connectors. There are 2 of these - one 4 pin connector and one 6 pin connector.

These connectors physically fit perfectly in the TP balance board which I received with the BC6-10.

Is it not correct to connect the 4 pin connector to the input labeled 1-3 and 6 pin connector to the input beside it labeled 4-8?

I am aware of the balance tap guide, however this seems to have not been updated with these new Align 6S1P batteries which use the TP style taps.

Thanks.

I will update my Balance Tap guide since Align has changed their wiring for the balance tap on the 6S pack.

This is so confusing and dangerous. Let's come up with one standard. Where is the Consumer Product Safety Commission?
