OK, so I bought one and as soon as I picked it up, I turned it on and everything was fine. A couple of hours later the radio is dead. I have tried to charge it but nothing. my charger is the e-station BC-6 and when I charge at 0.7v it says about 1v on the display. Shouldnt it read at least 8v. think the battery is dead or is it something else. I know nothing about radios and how and what to check for. any help is greatly appreciated

My first guess is that you tried using Futaba charge leads on a JR radio and fried the fuse.

The polarity of JR charge plugs is opposite.

Open the radio and check the fuse. It might ne a simple fix.

I bet it is a blown fuse. Replace it, it will take you jsut a few minutes.
I faced the same prob, when I charged with too much mA the first time (800mA with correct polarity).
You should stay below 200mA charging current when using the built-in connector.
I myself cut the battery pack cable and inserted a connector to charge it extrenally now, works great and doesn't take hours to charge the pack at 150mA etc..
