Hi Guys,

has anyone brought and tried out the full and complete cnc tail from flying-hobby.com?

I noticed there are 2 different ones on there, one is $59.99 and the other is $79.99 (the more expensive is currently on back order). Does anyone know what the difference is between these 2 and why one is more expensive than the other, is it that much better?

Thanks

Darren

Also, does anyone have a weight comparison of the two tails? The Gaui is already tail heavy; seems like the CNC would aggravate that.

Heli-Hobby has 'em in stock, at least the $59 version.

They state a weight of 10.4g, so all you have to do is tear down your heli and go find a gram scale at the local 5&dime ;-)

I have two of the MicroHeli tails. Haven't had to replace a single part so far. They weigh a little more than the stock tail but, I'm glad I bought them. I just wish I hadn't bought it directly from MH. I'd recommend it to any Guai 200 belt tail user.

hi paul...i just got my microheli cnc tail...i notice that the bolts that attach the tail rotor grips to the hub are "0-80 UNF x 1/4"...all the rest of the bolts are metric, i.e., m1.4x8mm, m2x8mm...just wondering if you saw that as a problem...thanks...ken

Paul,
You sound like a good place for info on the Microheli Gaui 200 tail. I'm looking for a solution to the terrible HDX300 tail vibration and am wondering if this tail would be compatible. Would you mind telling me the boom diameter and number of teeth on the tail shaft of the Microheli tail?

Well, I guess I'll have to try the tail, but I'll probably wait until I bend something, or better yet they come up with a shaft upgrade for older 200's.... which of course will have a completely different set of cnc componenets.

(bought my belt 200 and heard about the shaft drive exactly 24hrs later! ;-)

I guess I don't have a problem with the "0-80 UNF x 1/4-inch" socket head bolts in the Microheli blade grips...A standard 1.3mm/.050 hex driver fits the socket...I was going to remove the bolt, loctite, and reinstall but it seems Microheli already did that...Ken

Paul,

Could I ask you to weigh one of your old/stock tail units,- please?

I would like to "simulate" the added weight to my already tail heavy G200.

Thanks a million

Peter

make sure you use red locktite on the screws for these tails. yes, red.... they come apart with blue on them.

Really? Don't have any read. Guess I have to go to the local hardware store ...

Thanks for the warning.

Sorry guys I was out of town. I'll dig up the semi review I did of the MH tail.

I havent had to replace any parts yet so screws havent been an issue so far.

I'll find the link
