Bone stock 550. I'll not be doing 3D for months to come. I'm not looking for any thing exortic ... just a good mid-range price Rx. Thanks

i'm a futaba fan. my vote goes for the 7c fasst. the rx's are more expensive then spektrum though. almost twice as much $.

yea but if ya already got a dx7 then theres no point in buying a new radio... just make sure you get a new rx so it comes with that change so it doesn't take 3sec to reboot with low battery

Can I use the 6100? I can pull it off the CP Pro.

i think you could use it the problem is its for parkfliers and i think for a hurricane it would be fine vibration wise but your not going to get alot of range out of it

but ive never used one so you might ask sombody else... i would go with the 6200 cause it has two recievers

thought the 6000 was the parkflyer version and 6100 was full range...live and learn... just checked the spektrum website.. 6100 is parkflyer...

so yeah... 6200 would be better, but I bet a 6100 would work fine unless you plan on flying long distance :D

As stated in another thread, I'm restricted to certain formations for a while (as instructed by my trainer the LHS owner) and so the heli will not be more than 10 feet off of the ground and no more than 20 feet in front of me. I'm not allowed to even attempt sport flying, except on the G4. BTW, why two receivers? I also saw that on the 7000.

Ben,

A 6200 is only about $20 - $30 more than a 6100. You will need the 6200 within 6 months anyway - is it worth saving $20 for 6 months and then having to pay $70 in 6 months ??

Cheers,
Mike.

The 6100 is not being used since the CP Pro is now sitting in the corner .... for being a bad bad boy ,,, so I thought why not use it while looking for one either here in the B/S/T or fleabay, etc.

BTW, why two receivers?

it has 2 recievers because one it helps from locking out and two one reciever gets one signal each... so basically your rx is always picking up two signals in case one has interference it switches to the other and then finds another that is free of interference... thats how you can fly without checking frequencies... but if you already have the 6100 you could use it to learn how to hover but once you start moving you need the 6200... and i agree if your buying one just get the 6200 because crashing from loosing signal will cost more than 20 bucks

Also...the signal can get "hidden" from the rcvr in certain positions and the CF frame doesn't help at all.....so with he dual recievers on each side at dif positions, chances are MUCH greater you will always have a signal. The reason they say it's OK on smaller helis is they don't have the Mass the bigger ones do...

I fly my ECO8 with the 6100 and no problems.....but for a few bucks more the 6200 is worth the piece of mind.

I am using the 7000 but you can use the 6200, I wouldnt use the 6100 series Spektrum on full size servos. The first two I mentioned can easily power them.

I would go for the AR 7000, never heard bad things about it, no lockouts at all in my hurri. I can't recommend the AR 6100, I had 4 brownouts with my T-Rex 450. You are flying further away with the hurricane, so 2 receivers are strongly recommended.

i have the ar6200 and its great... the only reason you need a 7000 is if your going to run something that needs a channel like a camera

I know I'll be getting a 7000.. only because it will come with the radio :D... and a 6100 for my 450
