Hi Guys,

i've read in various places that it is a very good idea to apply thread locker to various screws on this heli to avoid the unwanted (heli falling to bitz in mid flight!!!)

What thread locker are you guys using - Ive seen various differemt types (usually ranging from weak - medium - strong) !

Exactly which screws need to be locked, i've heard its good to apply it to metal screws to metal threads, but does this mean literally every single metal screw in a metal thread on this heli (theres so many of them i can see this tacking hours), or are there only certain screws that need it?

many Thanks

Darren

Only the metal screws going into something metal. But yes, ALL of them.

Nothing on self tapping screws going into plastic unless they get sloppy then use some medium CA. Nothing on metal screws going into nyloc nuts.

Metal to metal (metal screw to metal thread) gets blue locktite, metal to plastic gets CA

A half hour of your time here can save hospital bills / expensive repairs / and more.

I just took my head apart on my 200 and only found half the screws loctited, this is not good especially when dealing with such a small screw and threading.
