I have seen pictures of really cool modifications for the CX(2), and I think it would be great if there was a list of most of them here... ;)

Cameras, lasers, and retractable landing gear are the only mech./elect. mods i have seen... And all the others are just shells and booms...

Feel free to post pictures of your cx2 mods, and even other neat ones you have seen on the internet

thanks :Pics:

Just got a new canopy, red white and blue, pretty cool looking BUT I bought a camera that needs a firewire hook up which I do not have yet. I'll hafta order a card from newegg. why couldn't it just be USB. the only reason i got it is to post pix here.

I'm planning the "Classic" tail boom kit from
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110236849913

Then I'd like to get some kind of new body and then the LED flybar
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110228337587

And next I want the LED kit
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160220799441

I would like to try this upgrade out as well
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270221792747&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

Who knows what else I want but I want it all :)

Pics once I start getting them :)

I recently got some new skids... Do yall like them?

They were marketed as "organic" so i thought they would be safe for the environment...

well, i had to make skids out of something... i didn't have any spares laying around lol

great use for skishkabob skewers LOL

LMAO. :D Very nice frankyg. I think I'm gonna make a few of those for the lhs when they're out of stock. Or just leave a set on the demo model.

Nice skids..

reminds me..Since I only fly spektrum.. I use the radio tubes i get from all the heli kits..to make a small X with zip ties across the bottom of the skids.. Kinda like the training gear only not as long. They act as a shock absorber and don't break the skids. I dropped the throttle at 4ft and landed on a hardwood floor. Didn't break the skids! Had to adjust the zip ties and away again..

well after flying it for a little while i took that wooden MONSTROSITY off!!!

i flew it without any skids at all, and it was pretty exciting! but i ended up sticking the front 2 prongs back on, so it has 2 legs now and i have to expedite liftoff while giving forward power... pretty easy to land too

course i just fixed my old parkflyer "beginair" so i'll have to take a break from cx2ing and go to a park tomorrow... i wonder how badly i'll break it this time...

You typical RC heli gunship. Capable of remotely firing an 8mm cannon. Next time those ninja squirrels attack I'll be waiting.

wow I'm kinda late but... you must use a Relay to turn lights on and off. Also, you most likely will have to use AUX as AUX is a preprogrammed channel in the TX.

Where did you get that cannon? I want to put one on my rc cars:lol:

5th channel M.E.R.S. activated Maverick Missile

Come to a hover, twist knob, rocket flies about 50 yards before impacting ground after burnout.

MERS (Micro Electronic Receiver & Accessory Switch) allows battery pack power to rocket igniter/engine when activated.

I used a 4" launch rail at +3 degrees so that missile will fly fairly parellel to ground. only drops about 3 feet in trajectory before butnout.

CX2 Flies great......not even noticable on the controlls.

Launch does not jerk CX2 at all.....just make sure back blast area 5' is clear!

Picture is from test flights with the missile unarmed.

ACFT actually flies well with only one click of the trim to hover hands free w/missile.

I have recently altered this boom for a 2-missile setup.

I also have a boom with a ballistic parachute recovery system in progress.
