Is it possible to run this simulator on my new portable computer?
It doesnt have and grafic card like geforce, only normal basic.
I dont think it lives up to minimum req but is it possible to run it or will it only be jumping pictures? Is it a demanding program?
Thanks

You could download the demo and see if it runs on it.

It runs great on my standard macbook, which doesnt have anything decent in the graphics card department. Like said, try the demo out on your portable.

Thanks!
The demo version worked fine on medium and low settings!:)
Now next step is buying it, is there different versions to buy old/new?
How can I see the difference, I whant the newest version?
Thanks

You can either buy direct from PhoenixRC (http://www.phoenix-sim.com/purchase.htm) or buy from Heliguy in the UK (http://www.heliguy.com/Flight-Simulators/Phoenix-Sim/Phoenix-flight-simulator/). I bought mine from Heliguy. Excellent customer service and communication and it was cheaper...:D
Whatever software revision you buy, you can download the free updates from Phoenix's web site.

I have to say that I noticed the framerate dropping with each release on my old PC running full res and everything turned up to the high settings. The more up to date patch you install, the lower you might need to turn the quality settings. Avoiding the sceneries with water helps performance a lot.
I now have upgraded my desktop PC, and you might not be able to use newer models and sceneries unless you install the newer patches.

I have it running on an apple macbook pro. works great even with the highest graphics setting; i get approx 95 frames per second.
I installed it under VMWare Fusion as well.. doesnt seem to be as smooth, but it is play-able... i prefer booting in bootcamp under XP and running it that way
I too am running at the highest resolution on a macbook pro. I also use boot camp and windows xp. Runs great!

No. The Intel-to-PowerPC machine code instruction translation is way too slow. I can just barely run it in a Parallels virtual machine on my MacBook Pro, which requires no instruction translation at all.

Phoenix is very smooth on my dell latitude D830 with all of the highest settings (video=1920x1200).
Realflight g3.5 and g4 were pushing the limit and depending on what was happening in the background on my laptop, RF would jerk the odd time.
