Adam,

The site is pretty busy with chatter right now, so hang on.

I'm new enough, so I won't offer much (real) info, but take a look at my thread on "Servo & Gyro Specifications Matrix". This will help with the size and torque issues.

I thought about blue birds for all four, due to the weight, but response and torque is definately an issue on the tail. BUT, yet again, the 200 is said by the prophets to be heavy in the tail...

Lots of us have gone with the HS45's which need a bit of sanding at the frame, but work well overall, cyclic and tail.

I went with Dymonds for cyclic and the 2100/3100 gyro/servo, but not yet opened the boxes, <sigh>

As you've already got a gyro, I'd say stick with the mainstream and do the Hitech 45 or 55 thing, they work!. As this gyro (as far as I know) is not digital, don't worry about the big, heavy ds servos for now, won't matter anyway.

Really does not matter much, as the TS is out in the open, and you've got some size/position options. When you upgrade the gyro, upgrade the servo.

Yeah, You can always upgrade too!

I'll suggest the 45hb's, from helihobby, my fave vendor (plug, plug), you won't go wrong, but if you can get an opinion from Buzzkill, Lockmd, Crabfu, Rogand... and a bunch of others not wanting thier names in the tabloids.. all these guys, take 'em up on it.

This is a safe, conservative reccomendation, I'm on thin ice with the Dymonds, the 45's are proven, okay?

Attached is my Servo/Gyro report, FWIW...

I've tried 3154, which burnt out in flight :( Then I used a 3153, which was a bit big, didn't fit the servo mounts easily without some mod... It worked great though, until I dug it in to the ground and stripped the gears. I had a spare 3107 laying around (non digital and size of the 3153), so decided to try that in the mean time, took the gyro off digital, and it works great actually.... haven't done any inverted stuff with it, but it holds fine in ff around the yard. I think most people are using the 3154, it's the right size and performs great. Mine just had the misfortune of deciding to end its life short while in flight... dunno why it can't decide to do so on the ground...

I have three S3154's on the tails. No problems so far. Might try a DSP75 soon. DSP60 chattered for some reason after a few flights (two of them).

Adam,

Now that the "heavies" have weighed in, did you get an answer to your question?

I'm looking up the servo's you mentioned and will get the specs posted this weekend, fwiw. A day late and $200 short in this business. I know you want to build, now!

My 200 is waiting in the box for me right now, can't wait to get home...
Like I said, Dymonds and 2100/3100, I've got myself all wrapped up in my own hypocrisy, I'll let you know how it works out...

If you're starting out, though, ignore my advice and your own! Vanilla works! Better to fly and upgrade later than pioneer and learn at the same time.

Paul. Have you setup your gyro to analog or digital servo?
