Small gear look a little out of place. Even the short MA gear have a wider stance. Not sure how practical that big a bird on such little feet will be. Sign me up.

I don't like the looks of the gear either.

For one too small(the gear was originally designed for a .50), and I'm not a big fan of the angled shape... I'd like to see a departure from the norm with a wider curved gear.

I thought Jason said something in the vid about the canopy... He had that plain white one on it, not sure if that silver/yellow one is the final one. That one looks to be a little better than the white one but I would have liked to see a departure from the normal canopy styles that they offer. Really not something to get worked up about though.

Other than that I like what I see. Some of the features look real nice... Should be pretty easy to work on. I'm glad they went with all metal head parts, simply for crash damage resistance.

I had my heart set on a Stratus... We will see... I'll let others be the beta testers and if I don't have to buy a bunch of "upgrades" a few months after it comes out, I just may buy one.

Why would making the frame sides further apart make the frame stronger?
Is Jason Krause a mechanical engineer?
I'm assuming the material is thicker and the cross braces are stronger too. Just a guess.

I'm also guessing Jason is not a Mechanical Engineer, but he seems to have a great deal of knowledge. I'm sure Aligns engineers are backing him up.

It all depends on what you're talking about.

I get where he's coming from and he's right.

how much does the raptor 90 weight compared to the 700 prototype? and the N9 and avant?

The Raptor 90 is about 10.5 lbs. depending on your set up.

I feel the Raptor still holds its own. In the right hands it rocks.

I'll get a 700 when funds permit, I'm still working on putting together my 600N.

The new 700 is going to be great. Jason really did a great job designing the frame and getting all the servos up front. It should be a very easy heli to fix if our thumbs don't cooperate one day. What electronics would be the best choice for this machine?

I guess Aurora will just have to make a vacuum cleaner instead because this 700 is going to be released and will sell plenty.

I hope they make the brass slide collar for the tail rotor shaft with left handed or reversed threads. That one they have been manufacturing unscrews its self and you really need to keep an eye on them because the tail pitch slider coming unfastened from the tail rotor lug is plain ole Messed up.I had that happen to 2 of my 450 s and today to my 600 n needless to say I had to replace my first set of main rotors and main shaft for that 600 I guess I should have dis-asymbled it when I bought it and put lock tight on every thing. Also the main bearings for the upgrade metal bearing block are poor I had a brand new set just crap out on me after only about 3 hours of logged flight Time .I hope that align address these issues as well before releasing the 700 .I want one but I want a tight ship with now mechanical issues to WORRY about while I am alfot:clappp Other than that Thank you for a greta helicopter Jason and align

Are you guys locktiting the sleeve to the pitch slider fork when you screw it on?
When these come brand new you MUST take it apart and check for locktite and relocktite! If you don;t you are asking for it. I have yet to have one come apart after locktiting it properly!

Align already beat them to that also. ;)
