For some odd reason I really like the looks of all this EDF jets out there, but I got no experience flying anything but helikopters. I see most say EDF is for experience pilots, and not something for a beginner. Do you guys think it would be okay for someone who is comfortable with sports flying to start with a EDF machine, and what would you recommend me? My money goes into heli's, so im looking for something that's not gonna cost me to much :)

check out the phase 3 ef16 at http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/107312.asp
it's a great kit for the price. if you get it, check out the threads about it in the "planks" section. i built one for my first plane, and although it was a fun build, i wasn't ready for it. i piled it up on the first flight attempt, and it broke in such a way that gluing it together would have been very difficult and it wouldn't have lasted long. i'll rebuild it i'm sure, as i still have all the mechanics and electronics, but i need more plane experience before i try to fly something that fast again. check out the parkzone t-28 trojan. very good price for a very good and easy flier. i can fly that very well, and if you get the PNP version it's only $160.
