if your trying to get away from the bad weather down south

Chris,
I am not trying to say anything bad about the event. The weahter should be fine this weekend.
But over the next couple of days, Cookeville is going to get the effects of the remmants of Katrina as she comes up thru there headed for the east coast. At least that is what the NOAA is predicting. Weather should be great in your area starting on Thursday thou. Just didn't want anyone to think they are getting away from the storm if they came to Cookeville now. Should be great weather for the weekend, ground may still be a little soggy is all.

hey dave your forgetting, that so what if its still soggy we have a 80x3000 ft runray paved and a 65x1000 ft taxiway paved we will all just setup and fly off of the pavement instead of the grass

and like dave said it should be gone by thursday

hey dave you never mentioned are you going to come up?

Chris,
I hope to be there. Right now it is tough to tell. Will have to wait and see what the storm has left behind after it passes thru here tonight. They are predicting 60 mph winds and up to 6 inches of rain.

soggy ground would be more like a water landing in the event of an unscheduled cessation of flight right? ;)

I got three gallons left. Just looking to stock up. Thanks for the offer though. How soon is everyone going to get there. I will be arriving sometime friday also does anyone have the GPS coordinates to the field. It makes life a whole lot simpler.
