First off this heli has not be flown or crashed, just bench tested. Using a keen eye and a flashlight, I can see a hairline crack around the outrunner housing to the motor shaft. I did not take this motor apart or tamper with it, because it is going in for warranty work. The temperature on this motor with no load reached 140 degrees F in a matter of minutes. I believe that the resonating vibration and temps were due to this crack. If you are getting high temperature problems or vibration issues from the motor, you might want to look at your motor so that you don't have a problem in the air. I have a scorpion motor on order and when I get my align motor back, will only use it as a back up. My issue might be an isolated flaw, but just check yours just in case. I am not bashing Align, because in the manufacturing business things happen. Just thought that I would pass this along to anyone that might be having similar issues. I have added some pics of the crack. It was hard to capture in a picture, but I highlighted the crack as best as I could. This crack runs 3/4 of the radius on the outrunner housing.
