So here I sit going thru my new kit box. Doing the tear down and reassamlbly on the kit, checking for lok tite and the whole gambit as every one should do.:)
And what do I find you ask? During the manufacturing of the swashplate, which is press fit metal pieces by the way. On the bearing holding the top and bottom pieces together where the top piece is pressed downward thru the bearing, and then the edge of this top piece is flared so as to hold these together, during this prosses the bearing was damaged. And is notchy and un-true in the roundness.:(:(
Has any one had this happen in there kits????????

i've not seen that on my kit, but there was a problem a while back with the swash separating during flight. gaui has address that problem, by peening (is that the right word lol?) over the lip on the bottom of the swash. i'll bet that yours got knackered when the folks at gaui were doing the fixes.

I recieved my complete metal head assembly and the swash bearing was a little notchy...I ran some oil into it and helped a little....I haven't had a chance to actually run it and see if maybe spinning it up helps.
If it's real bad...you'll just hve to get another one....but I have not hear or read of this being a common problem.

Yes I guess that would be what happend here. for this is what I see on the lip of which you speak. And the bearing feels notchy because of this. Should I seek a replacement from the dealer? or from the manufaturer?? Or just buy a new one???

I would always try the dealer first.....depending on where you got it from....at least ask them....they may tell you to go to Gaui....

Yeah, whatever you do you definitely do not want 'knackered' (notchy) bearings. Cause all kinds of problems.

My bearing is good, but I did buy my Hurri used so it may be a newer replacement...and my swash isn't pressed, it's held together by screws, fully serviceable like the Beam swash. I wonder if it's a Hurri swash or something else. Do I have a different swash or did I just read the post wrong?
