401 gyro with Futaba 6EXPH

Just purchase the 401 gyro and have it set up with the Futaba 6EXPH radio and the Futaba R146iP pcm receiver. "Seems" to fly ok but the instructions state that the LED on the gyro with go out when switching from AVCS/ HH mode to normal mode. My setup does not.

Something wrong with the radio? receiver? or gyro.

I'm a newbie, that and weather has kept me to just hovering in the shop. It almost seems to hold better in normal mode ???????????

Got it figured out, on the rate side of my gyor gain in the tx I had the gain setting on the plus (+) % side and not the negative (-) side. Once I dropped it down to a -60% the LED switched off.
Newbie mistake, but on Bob's video and the setup tips I have read on one made of point of it being (-) %
