Hello,
New to the forum and was hoping I could get some advice on my B400. Had something weird happen to me today while flying. I recently replaced the stock Gyro with a GY401 (still have the stock servo). I have about 50 flights on the heli and have been in "stable hover" and figure 8s for a month. I wasn't happy with the tail, so I read up on this forum and switched over.

So I was flying and all of the sudden the tail started rapidly spinning out of control.....almost like a reversed gyro....only it wasn't. I was able to land with no damage (I was about 8 ft up). I am hoping it is only the crappy stock servo. Any other ideas?

Also, where can I get a 3400G.....everyone seems to be sold out. Anyone know of a shop that has one in stock?

Thank you in advance!

I have read about this problem being related to a loose or worn tail rotor belt.

Have you checked this recently?

Well the heli is only about 6 weeks old. I checked the belt and it seems tight enough. When I push on the belt it moves about 1/2 the distance of the gap.......

I was playing with the gyro connection and I think the plug may be loose. I have the DS75 plugged into the GY401 and the fit is not all that great. I just ordered a Futaba 9257 and will heat shrink the connector when it comes in. I don't want to take any more chances with that servo. Kind of frustrating. I am just getting the hang of figure 8s and I am out of commission. Oh well. I'm having a blast with this thing!

If you were considering upgrading your cyclic servos as well you can get the 3400G in the performance heli pack from Horizon, part number JRPF300H.
