Hey everyone,
Been reading here for atleast 3 months, I've got a problem that I could really use your help
with.
The problem started when I was setting up for 10 degrees positive and 10 degrees negative pitch. Everything is fine except at midstick it was -3 degrees.
What I noticed was in the pitch curve programming menu if you physical push the left stick to midstick it says on the lower portion of the screen 30 in 30 out. I checked
with another radio while over the phone and he said his radio said 50 at midstick which makes sense.
With the left stick at the bottom it reads 0 in 0 out, midstick 30 in 30out, top 100 in 100out.
Is something messed up with the radio or did I miss something.

First off change to a blank model memory and see if it does the same thing.
If it does you probably need the sticks calibrated.

I tried that and it was the same..is calibrating the sticks something I can do?
Thanks

I found a way to get into the service menu and calibrated the sticks, atleast I didn't have to send the unit back for something simple. We should have access to this feature and it not be hidden.

Do tell?
And did it fix the problem?

Here's the info I found, took longer to find this than actually fix it
Ensure the Aileron D/R switch is in the UP position.
Press and hold the DOWN and SELECT buttons and turn on radio. Now
you're in the setup menu.
Scroll up/down until you get to the screen that says [Model Reset]
Press the Adjust Descrease button (r/h side of LCD)
Flip the Aileron D/R switch down
Press the Adjust Increase button
Flip the Aileron D/R switch up
Press the Adjust Descrease button
Keep alternating this Aileron D/Rup/down and Adjust Increase/Decrease
sequence (about 5 cycles as Hilgert said)
The radio will 'beep' and the LCD will go dark. This is the LCD test.
Scroll Up/Down (left side of LCD screen) through the Service Menu (at
your own risk)
Once your in there's a screen that says ST1, ST2, ST3, ST4. Those are your sticks. Press the select key to scroll through them and an arrow will highlight which one you want to change. For example, pushing up on the throttle stick will show a parameter and likewise pushing down will also. You'll probably get two different numbers on both ends which shows there's actually a little slop, nothing that will matter. Go through all this and your sticks are calibrated. Solved my problem.
Once your done looking around there's a screen that says (can't recall exactly) All settings okay? Press clear Kind of freaked me out the the clear button, they're using it like an enter key.
Hopefully this will help someone else out and not have to send there unit back.

Just wanted to mention that I have no idea what all the screens are and had no one actually show me how to do this, I didn't really care at this point because it had to get fixed.
***If your not comfortable your probably better off staying out of there as I'm sure you could really mess something up***
