I would probably use either a Z3650, or 3400G on the throttle, if you want to use a full size servo maybe a futaba 3050.

How about a YS91 SR and an SB17H?
That motor is suited better on the SB 19 (exclusively for the 91sr) and the MP5 90.

Good news: Spektrum is coming out with a new receiver next month called the AR 7100R that will work perfectly in our new TREX 700's.
It has one heavy duty power wire to the receiver like the 9100 so we don't have to run all that current through the small servo connections.
It is capable of using two remote receivers (it only comes with one though)
It has a built in governor (RPM limiter style)
It has a built in 2 Amp BEC rated at 5.2 volts for the gyro and tail servo
It should be here sometime in May
YS 91 SR
Hatori SB19
JR 8717's on cyclic and throttle
JR 770 gyro
This should be a very clean and simple setup for our TREX 700's

wow, but I wonder about the gov, I think I would want a better one than that built in.

Does it say if it has 2048 res like the 9000 or still 1024?

Bob,
I did not see any reference to 2048 resolution on the new AR7100R data sheet from Spektrum so I'm not sure..

What's Alan running on his 700N, I know that he's got 8717's on Cyclic but what is on the tail and on the throttle?
LoveMyTrex

tail is spartan 760 with 8900G
throttle is probably another 8717 because it is running off 8v

I have all these spare parts that were supposed to go on my Aurora last year. Since then, I've canceled my order and will be getting a 700 instead!
I have a GV-1, OS91, MP5 (but may change this to another pipe), 611. Don't know which servos yet. Maybe the JRs. I haven't yet decided. But I'm looking forward to it.

no one uses BL451s because they are the same price as the JR 8717s and the specks arn't as good. I am sure the 451s are great servos but there are better ones for the same price.

Saw Alan's heli Saturday at the San Diego FF and I have a video of him flying it which will be up soon in the video forum. It's a killer flight guys... Can't wait to get it up.
Anyway he is using 8717 on 8V and he is using the new AR7100R as he has been testing it. I just wish I could get one for my build :(

Does anyone of you guys know which servo will perfectly fit the built-in carbsmart servo mount on the t700 ?
hs-82 ? hs-56 ?

If you use a 8V setup what do you use for glowing, I've gotten quite fond of my onboard glow system and really don't wanna abandon this

how about the 8v switchglo http://www.readyheli.com/SwitchGlo_w_Alligator_pigtail_7_2_8V_p/sg1a-8v.htm ??
i'll just run the rx, carbsmart, governor, gyro, tail of the 2 in 1... and run just the cyclic servos on 8V.
This way i have the "remote glow" and a regulated 6v setup for everything else.
anyone any hints about which servo fits the carbsmart servo mount on the t700 ?

- Futaba fasst R608 (running on 5v)
- 8717 on cyclic running on 7V (using reactorX regulator)
- 9254 running on 5v for throttle (or a hs-82 for weight matters running on 6v stepped down from one cyclic servo power lead)
- multigov pro
- reactorX regulator (7v for cyclic / 5v rx,rudder,throttle,carbsmart,gyro)
- Spartan Gyro with jr 8900g
- Flightpower 4000mah pack
- radix 690 blades
- radix super stubz 4mm paddles
- ys 91 sr with hatori sb19 pipe
- carbsmart with hs-55 servo
- switchglow 6v
- westernrobotics lipo alarm with buzzer
that's my setup i finally ended up with :-)

What setups are the Align pilots using?
Alan Szabo
Bert Kammerer
Etc.
What engine do they like best? Muffler?
Are they using carbsmarts?
What blades?
I'm going to use the following:
8717 for cyclic and throttle
Spartan with 8900G
Spektrum 7100R
Radix 710 SB
EvoLite 2500
YS91
Hatori SB-19
Carbsmart?
Thanks,
Rob
My next 90 (RJX X90) will get:
Radix mains and tails with super stubz
8717 servos
ATG governor
Logictech 6100
should be rocking !

Multigov Pro has a build in Carb Smart  switchglo sucks imo, i returned to a simple remote glow to keep the wiring clean and simpel
