After reading these two threads:

LINK 1 (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=67734) and LINK 2 (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=67458)

I'd like to know how many of you are using a modified throttle curve?

Stock:
0-25-50-75-100

Alternate: (I believe it's a Finless suggested curve for better idle up transition)
0-50-80-90-100

Please comments on your change?

Thanks in advance

I voted other.

I found that stock was a little tame and Finless's curve was too aggressive on my B400. The bird would be pushed into the ground before take-off.

I ran something around this:
0-40-75-90-100

I really like the Finless suggested curve, as you know from my other thread.

It feels a lot better than stock and makes the heli more responsive all around, also the higher headspeed at hover makes it a lot more stable.

Try it out and see how you like it, I still have not used the idle up/stunt mode yet, but I think I'm getting much closer to being ready to do so, and by using this modified throttle curve when you switch in to stunt from a hover, the heli should not jump or dive on you.

i run 0-65-80-90-100.

im still using 0-50-80-90-100 i like it cuz i dont have stick all the way above center for a basic hover that is probably 5 to 6 feet instead with finless i get a good hover at mid stick
but like int2str said it take a little more time to get heli off ground and sorta smacks down when coming from a land but not to hard... but im sorta new so what do i know.... ha do i have everything correct even though the topic is about throttle curve?

i just finish setting up my pitch and everything this is how i had when fixed pitch

throt norm: 0-25-50-75-100
throt stunt: 100-92.5-65-92.5-100
pitch norm: 35-50-67-85-100
pitch stunt: 0-25-50-75-100

idle mid stick zero pitch full stick +10 down -10

normal mid stick 0 pitch full stick +10 down -3

does that look correct? only thing i have changed sense that was my throttle curve "finless bob" thanks

Normal 0-35-70-85-100
Idle1 100-85-70-85-100
Idle2 100-90-80-90-100

I really liked 0-40-65-80-100 for normal when I was getting used to the heli. I felt like the stock curve was too sensitive with the throttle collective making it hard to hold altitude in hover. The idle up curve was better in that regard, but it made the heli too sensitive in cyclic while I was getting back into flying this machine.

Now I have the Phoenix 35 running governor mode and it's really flying well. I flew in 20 mph winds yesterday and it did a lot better than I expected.

FWIW, if you go to the Headspeed Calculator (http://www.readyheli.com/Online_Headspeed_Calculator_s/81.htm) at ReadyHeli and put in the stock values for the B400 (140T Main Gear, 10T pinion, 3S battery and 3850kV motor) you get just over 2700rpm for the ideal headspeed.

I just tried this weekend after watching a finless video, only did it once but liked it. I will have to do more and higher to know for sure. Throttle curve = 70-70-70-70-70.

TH I have 0 40 66 82 100
PI I have 40 45 50 75 100

battery last about 5 min

I setup idle up for less agrassive mode for better battery life.

th 0 40 66 77 82
pi 40 45 50 65 85

Heli don't go high, don't handle winds good, but about 10min flying time.

Based on what I've read in this forum, I find the following works well. Note: I am new to flying CP. Flew CX2 for couple months before getting the B400.

Norm:
Throttle 0-40-75-85-100
Pitch 40-45-50-75-100

For Normal

I use 0-35-60-80-100 for throttle
and 40-45-50-75-100 for my pitch curve

Stunt/Idle I use stock still as im not realy using yet, while I learn the heli
I find it works well for me :)

I still use the stock curve, but will try many of your curves now because I don`t like it as it is - but I am a new guy and didnt know how to adjust it until now! :)

I use Skigolfmike throttle curve 0-65-75-85-100 its good in hover in my backyard. I will try it in the park someday.
