Can one of you folks tell me where I can find a V1 to V2 Conversion kit?
Most hobby shops have stopped carrying them, and they are a rare find.
The only one I have located is $154.00 which seems a little high.
Or, do you have a listing of the Minimum number of parts (with part numbers) that must be purchased to add to the V2 Main Frame Set to allow my V1 to get back in the air?
Thanks.

im pretty sure they stopped makeing the conversion kits.
i have yet to upgrade my head, think i will do a trex600 head on mine when the time comes.
heres the list...
for the head you need;
PV0353 - Main rotor grip
PV0354 - Main rotor hub
PV0355 - Spindle
PV0365 - Thrust bearing
PV0372 - Thrust collar
PV0374 - Feathering bearing
PV0381 - 70 D flap damper
all this runs 68.52 at heliproz right now.
for the frame you need;
PV0480 - Main Frames
PV0359 - Clutch
PV0372 - Thrust Collar
PV0361 - Start Coupling
PV0360 - Start Shaft
PV0203 - Start Shaft Brg
MVPV0363 - Fuel Tank (this is a mavrikk part not ace, its better and cheaper!)
MVPV0358S - Clutch Bell (also mavrikk)
PV0175 - Spindle Bearings
the canopy is optional, both the v1 and v2 mount the same, they did stop making the v1 canopy so if you crashed you have to use the v2.
all this runs 97.32 at heliproz right now.
total conversion should run 165.84

I found it at hellibobby.com it is out of stock but here is a link http://www.helihobby.com/html/raptor_heli.html#PARTTTR3832
Part number is 3832, maybe that will help
it says the kit contains:Main Frames, Clutch Bell, Clutch, Starter Shaft, Starter Coupling, Main Rotor Grips, Thrust Bearings, Swashplate, Main Rotor Hub, Tail Boom Support, Pinion Gear, Fuel Tank, Pitch Control Arm, Elevator Arm, Tail Fin set, Spindle, Tail Rotor Grip, Tail Rotor Hub, Tail Rotor Bearings
also out of stock at:

After checking all my links I found it at:
http://www.advantagehobby.com/product.php?productid=49523&cat=0&page=1
but it is over $290

one thing about the Maverikk Fuel Tank. I had one on my heli, the rubber grommet around the fitting deteriorated after less than one year (I use 30% nitro) and was a real pain getting all the chunks out of the tank, only later to find I couldnt get a replacement grommet with out purchasing a new tank, but at $8 for the entire thing its worth it.
Considering the price on the kit I posted in my last, I would go with the indevidual parts shown by Mikebilyk

I found this one, but I don't have any knowledge of this supplier. I, too, am flying a 30 v1 and have been thinking about upgrading to the v2 just so I can get replacement parts of/when I need them. However, for around $100 more than this conversion kit, one can just get a brand new v2 kit and save the old v1 for parts. I totally dig building helis from the ground up anyway!

Just curious. What's wrong with your V1?
