What packs are you using? Can you describe the balance leads and power leads?
Hi,
These are the packs I wish to charge:TP5000-10SXV37.0V 10-Cell
I bought the convertor cables from Tanicpacks. I figured out how to connect those convertors and how to hook it up to the power supply but if one looks at the top of the charger it has an illustration showing how to hook up a 10 c pack but when I read there instructions it says to hook up differently. Hence the reason for my confusion.

It comes with the banana jacks.

The negative power lead goes into the left negatve terminal and the positive power lead goes into the far right positive terminal.

For 10S the balance connectors are wired straight through. I used FP test leads which are the same as TP.

The charger will recognize the battery and charge without the power leads at a moderate amperage with the yellow bridge. This is also a good way to check your wiring. I check my wiring first with a VOM.

Push Start and it will tell you what to do. Use the Mode button to look at other parameters and change charge rate. No selection for cell count, this is per the balance lead sense.

For high amp charging use the power lead.

Does one have to use that yellow bridge?
How do you do that if you use the extreme right and left input jacks

The yellow bridge is for charging through the balancer only. For high rate charging remove it and use power leads plus balance leads.

The newest 1010s' actually will charge a 10S up to 6 amps. If you have the update cable simply update your 1010 to have this capability.

I just went and bought the update cord and installed the version 2.3 upgrade, but it still only charges 10S at 5A max...Am I missing something here? I'd really love to be able to charge @ 6A

The TP website says 1010 chargers are only good for 220W, which is a max of 5.2A (220W / 42V).

Oooops sorry forgot about this thread. I goofed, the 10S yes is max at 5.0 amps, the 6S however can goto 6.5 amps.

Still 5amps is good if you got a few chargers cooking. I run a 75amp Iota and 4 TP1010 at full boar when I am getting ready to go. :D

Man I really gotta get an Iota PS. I can only use one 1010 at a time when charging 10s

Anyone got an extra they want to get rid of? :dontknow
