Hello guys,, Just like to ask how to set up the esky hh gyro and tail servo? When i move the rudder stick to the right, the pitch slider of the tail should go to the left or right? And the esky hh gyro wires., which color is positive, the brown or the yellow? Thanks

HI there!!!
Here is a pic (dont worry bout the bird, its esky stuff in it)
the brown wire is the black, the light orange/yellow color is the white..
this goes into channel Channel 4 on the Esky reciever.
The single Orange wire goes into Channel 5 (this is the switch to either use the hh or use it as a rate gyro)
Make sure when mounting it do not mount it flat on the top, has to be on its end with words reading upwards..
the tail servo plugs into the HH gyro as shown (Black wire up) in this picture my tail servo wire (brown=black).

Keep looking in this section you will see alot of stuff about the Belt CP and what all you can modify on it..
Hope to helped helped.

on the single wire for the gyro when plugging it into channel 5 would the wire be in the same position as the rest of the black wires or in the same position as the white wires which way does it go into the socket

The same as the white wires (black is the negative , red is the positive of the battery, white is signal)

If you don't connect the single orange wire, the gain pot on the gyro works. Below 50% is rate mode, above is HH.
If you connect it to the signal pin (same as the white wires) the gyro switch on the transmitter will work but the gain pot will be disabled. You can flip between rate and HH but you can't adjust gain using the stock Tx.
If you connect the wire to ground, the gyro is always in HH mode and the gain pot is enabled. At this price each gyro is an individual, and for some of them this is the only way to tune it for proper HH performance. If you don't miss rate mode, this is often your best option.

Hello
could you please help me with the following questions? I am really frastrated with this chinese esky heading lock sh..t. I invested time and money and i am obsesed of making this work.
1.can anyone tell me what is rate mode and what HH mode?
2.I have a 5 channel receiver, so i have no entry for the one wire. That means that i cant have a heading lock?
3.After a lot of test i figured out how to make this work. My only problem is that i cant set the endpoints of the tail servo through the transmitter. So the only way to avoid servo overload , i use a very small horn. This causes me to have stability issues. The tail is not solid but makes very fast movement. How did you solve this ? I cant understand why i cant set the travel of the tail servo.
Thanks in advance

Wolfie, just a query. On your pic of your EXI, the HH gyro is on the left side of the fuselage, is it a problem putting it on the right side, and which way do the words have to go in this case?
Cheers,
Mike

Have just fitted the Esky HH gyro to my copter. Prob is that the tail is so so twitchy. A small push of rudder sends an enormous deflection to the tail, hence she ends up swinging almost uncontrollably from left to right as I try to correct - this is with the "Gyro" switch on the 0406a "up, or "off".
Any ideas anyone???????

You can also put the ball on the tail servo arm 1 hole closer to the center.
It is best to start with gyro gain at 50% and reduce bit by bit until swinging occurs and than increse a bit

thanks Erwin, it is so twitchy though.

Mika, what do you mean by "if you connect the wire to ground"?

I think what another_finn meant is turn the connector with the single wire around in the rx so that it is seated in line with the black wires.

...ok....and what does that do to HH and Normal?
Ber60

Never did it that way but it would seem that the gyro is locked in HH with the gain enabled.

...and I cannot get the feathering shaft/blade holders tight. They are very loose.

Do you have enough shafts, you could try filing one down to the correct length

How tight are the blade holders supposed to be anyway?
Ber60

I suppose the same as on the plastic head tight enough so that they don't bind

I have the correct part, the correct bolts, shims etc, and when it all goes together, I get a 1mm gap!!!!!!!!!
