I have some vibrations that makes my gyro to drift, i get a pretty good hold when i use govenor set at 12750rpm but on govenor set at 11000rpms it start a slow drift to left (tail moves right) and i can notice that the engine not running clear it vibes a bit.
What i have understand it should be the high needle that works alone in this rpm range, is that correct?
I have leaned the high needle to a lightbrown spark reading when at 12750 govenor speed for a 4min run.
It have the 7.15 gearratio
Should i try to lean the low end more?
Any ideas how to fix this?

Is the engine new ??
What’s your oil ratio ??
Hover throttle =1’550 head speed
Idle up 1 = 1’750 head speed
Idle up 2= 1’850 to 1’900 head speed
If the engine is new you may be better of not using it till the engine is run in.
You will get tail drift at low head speed !
high needle & low needle good starting point 1.5 turns out from fully closed

If your spark plug is tan it's to lean. Put a few gallons through engine before using governor. Take your Time!!

Hi .
No the engine is well run in, and good idle and top end-
Its just around 11000rpms it vibes a bit.
I use 2.5% synt oil and acrylat fuel like aspen.
Maybe i should try to raise my idle 1 to 11500rpm and idle 2 to 13000rpm ?
That would be idle 1 = 1608rpm and idle 2 = 1808 rpm on the head if i calculated it right.
contact Al at TRM www.toxicmarine.com he doesn't monitor this site all the time. It's possible the vibration is not in your engine.
Good luck
