well guys a while back myself and a few other members ordered some canopies from helidirect and due to poor packaging they arrived either buckled or damaged, to say we were not impressed is an understatement!

anyway when helidirect posted pics of their newer H550 canopies i saw one that i really liked but due to the previous problems i didn't order it, but after a month or so i finally gave in when i saw the canopy i wanted in the scratch and dent section for half price with only a tiny crack. well i was quick to post of my problems with the first canopy but unlike some other people who only post about vendors to complain, i am also quick to post to give praise when it's due and this is one such occasion! here's some pics showing how this canopy was packaged.

here it is when i opened the box, the whole canopy is surrounded with newspaper! top, bottom and both sides (click images to see full size pics)

when i removed the top layer of paper i found the canopy wrapped with a double layer of bubble wrap

then i removed the bubble wrap to find the canopy fully stuffed with more newspaper

and because of the excellent packaging my new canopy arrived in perfect condition :glasses2:

so that's a scratch and dent? i was fully going to order one of the blue fusino scratch and dent, but after reading your original post about the terrible packing, i didn't. i guess now i'll order one. at least they addressed the problem, and well at that!

yeah it's a scratch and dent, there's a tiny crack on the edge of the canopy beside where the motor pops through but it's tiny so it was definately a bargain :glasses2:

it's great to see a vendor that improves it's practices based on customer feedback, that's why i wanted to let everyone know :)
