Mitch,
How is that leg doing?
Will you be able to fly during the week again soon?

Great!
I am done for this week, but will PM you next week.
Put three flights on the Knight 3D this morning, and three on the Raptor 90 (first time it has been out in months).
Other than the insides of the windshields getting coated with oil, both are doing well.

Man you guys and the weekday flying I just wanna fly my nitro anymore and am too tired before/after work. The 500 is just a quick fix for when my eyes are crossing..
Getting closer on the 700 but I still need the electronics. Work is coming soon I will have it together.

I put an exhaust deflector on the Raptor that is about an inch longer than normal and it keeps the heli a lot cleaner, very noticeable.
Can't remember where I bought it but I think it's for a car application? Can't remember.

Let me know if you think of where you got that deflector.
Your machine is looking good.

Thanks Mitch.
The Knight 3D seems to need it more than the Raptor. The Raptor gets a little spray on the inside of the windshield-the Knight looks like I dipped it in motor oil after a flight or two.

I think I got the deflector from Grand RC but they don't show a blue one like mine, they do have others that are longer.

Yeah Emag's Knight 50 looked the same way after just a few flights.

Yeah I can confirm that. I went out this evening and flew again. Got it on video. I did not have another issue with the throttle going to idle. Must have been a mini low voltage lockout. :dontknow

Did this happen while inverted?
Idle up needs to be on for that. ;)
A few of us will be at Whittier early Friday/tomorrow. 8am.

I wish it was just as simple as idle up being off but that wasn't it.
Do you want to join long and I (and probably J Chow) at the basin on Saturday around 8?

Great flying Shawn! :smokin:
Went to Whittier this morning and discovered they put in shade awnings, one for the heli side and one for the plankers.
It doesn't cover the whole place but it's a good start for sure.

Gonna head out to Apollo again Monday.
More importantly, I'm going to go check out a site today that might become a regular flying field. 10 acres, square piece of property and the owner has no problem with us flying there.
Gotta check it out and see if some kind of agreement can be reached.
Club fees would be very low.
Keeping fingers crossed...............
