zguy and I went to Whittier today, it was not crowded at all, pretty much fly as much as you want.

I'll put up weekday flying plans in the future so that people that may want to come join in on the fun will and have some freaks to hang out with.

Great flying with you Rob, lets do it again soon. :YeaBaby:

Align put a notice in the 700N thread that the JR8717 servo stock servo horns will fail under their own torque. Just wanted everyone to know if they felt confident enough to post that they had to have some serious data to back it up. They are recommending the Align servo horns.

Wow! Thanks for the update.

I've already went to HD servo horns, inexpensive to change em out.

I had one fail on my 90 about 6 months ago.

Mike,

I can't find that thread. I'd just bought 3 8717s for the 600NSP.

Thanks,

Ben

Good day at Carson today guys!

Maybe a nitro someday, but for now the Logo fits my budget and places to fly. By the time I go nitro, the batteries will improve and everyone will go back to electric! :wow2:

Sadly, I will be working this weekend and will not be able to come out
flying.

On the bright side, I will be available to fly on the weekdays next week.
So if anyone is going anywhere during the week, I can come out
as well.

I will deifintely want a .90 electric when batteries come down and price and up in endurance. I will never want to not have a nitro.

OK guys, finished the rebuild on my Knight and tested it out this morning. All seems good, no unnecessary shakes or vibes. I tracked the blades so everything looks spot on. Only thing is, it sounded like the headspeed was a lot higher than what its set at on the governor which is 1850. Maybe it's because I just woke up, but anyway, I plugged the governor into the LCD, and it said the sensor was reading so I don't know. My only guess would be that maybe the lead that plugs into AUX 2, where I switch the headspeed might be a little loose, so it wouldn't be in 1850 but 2100. Not sure. If I go to the basin tomorrow I'll have someone look at it. Anyone in?

OK, lowered the headspeed from 1850 to 1700 and I could hear the difference. I'm not sure if it is really spinning 1700. I guess the only way to know is when I go to the basin tomorrow and tach it.

Multigov has a problem with overspeed, is that something I made up or true? Where did I hear that?

Pretty sure that's made up. I've never heard of that.

I have bad news.

Whittier Narrows will be closed for maintenance tomorrow (first Wednesday of the month).

Probably open on Thursday.

Closed on Friday in preparation for some type of event (I have not confirmed this).

I wish I could.

Saturday and Sunday are usually family days.

I will be fortunate enough to get out to LA3D on Saturday.

Thank you anyway!
