Yeah it looked great Mitch can't wait to see the next one...

My buddy and I are going to fly our 600N at 6:30am until it is too hot to fly. I am shooting for a gallon of 30% by 10am I really just want to fly my nitro.

Man I hope this heatwave is over soon I have to run my motor rich and I get 8 minutes per tank. :(

Why didn't you tell me

Mitch here you go custom canopies! Pricey but I guess they are custom made also with weave reinforcement in all the right areas..

Just heard about this on RR and am passing it on no actual experience with this person:

Airboss,

I really wish I could have gone down there. I would have liked to have seen all of you and to have seen Team Avant. I read the OC thread-it sounds like it was great.

I am still hoping to get hold of an Aurora before the end of the year.

How does it fly compared to the Synergy?

it is a Synergy with all the bling. bit more costly but parts are comparible. felt like it has more cyclic response and had plenty of power and speed. the rex 700 felt heavy (wich it isnt) and would not FFF very well but did respond well to cyclic. I believe in the N9 , its available , durable and Fn rips with a YSsr and SB19. 90s rule!

I'm kinda outta doing a lot of things for a bit. My GSXR 1k spit me off last friday (20th) and I broke my left leg, again, compound fracture above the ankle. Totally messed up my plans.
I'll have the Raptor back in the air soon though, one place messed up my order and the other is draggin their feet. I need the servo tray to get going and that is the part they messed up, the other place has the canopy and I need to get to painting it.

I am very sorry to hear about your leg.

I hope you get better soon.

Keep working on the helicopter and keep us posted on both the leg and the Raptor .90.

I've got all the parts needed to fix the Raptor, got the main item I needed today, heliproz messed up and didn't ship it with my original order. Got the canopy the other day and finished painting it today.

I made the flames different on each side.

The leg is just going to take time, no way around it. It was a bad break.

I had broke that leg before and never knew it, the small bone part way up you can see where it healed.

What? didn't like my pic? :)

I'm spending a little time on the sim, not as much as I used to.

Gonna start rebuilding the Rappy today, won't really take long but I'm not in a hurry either, gotta make sure everything is right. Got some HD servo horns for it and I'll install all the push pull linkage.

Need to buy some new main blades.

Ordered some Radix 710s.

thanks for the well wishes. :smokin:

I was real disappointed when it happened, still am, the broken leg screwed up my plans. :arggg:

Regroup and heal up.

I can't work on the Rappy very much due to having to keep my leg propped up the majority of the day, I've already used up todays "up time".

I've thought about hanging it up but it's not going to happen, I could of done the same thing many different ways. I don't wish anything on anyone but anything can happen at any time, an out of control heli could cause disaster in a blink of an eye, we just don't know what lays ahead.

I could crawl into a safe little box and stop living but be safe from any harm, but that's not living.

I'm of the opinion that you should live while you're alive, not just exist. You never know when that day could come that you are on the sidelines wishing you would of done.........this........or?..............

Be safe but have fun.:smokin:

I look forward to getting out to fly with the group again, soon.

I'm flying at the Basin for a while cuz I can't afford to join a club :(

Lota Fun R
07-08-2008, 05:06 AM
The Basin is fine unless the plankers shut it down for one of their special events, which they do often, and they hate heli's.

I wish I had the money to **** their **** up, I would turn it into heli central and bannish planks. They should learn to be nice, it could bite em in the arse.
