View Full Version : Mikado 500 frames too big?

I realise that plenty of the Mikado 500's parts are different from those of the 600, but can't get away from the thought that the frames are perhaps too big. Perhaps an ultimate Mikado 500 would be considerably smaller?

On the other hand, the room needed for the electronics probably can't be reduced by all that much as a 600 receiver is pretty similar in size to a 500 receiver - unless the 500 could get by on smaller servos. The battery space looks like it could be considerably smaller though.

Any thoughts?

Why mess with it? The 500 flies sweet.

actually, the frames are perfect size, the 600 frames are quite small for a 600 heli.

Mikado are just awesome at making helicopters, i think they got it 100% spot on this time round

I agree with Ian - perfect size for the 500 - real estate is a little tight on the 600 esp with a v-module but it's really neat having ONE frame for two different helis - helps the spares box!

Even better that I have the same servos, frames and maingears in my Logo 500 and my Logo 600. Makes shopping for spares much cheaper!
