I am flying a 90 sized helicopter with an YS91SR. My problem is when you use alot of collective, then return to center quickly the motor rattles a little, like it is lean. The needles are still at factory break-in setings. The engine seems rich everywhere except for the above stated situation. Our idea is that the Revmax is pulling so much throttle to eliminate the overspeed that is actually gets into the low needle very briefly causing the rattle. My question is can I use the old GV-1 trick and fool the Revmax into thinking that my idle is at about 40% throttle. With this set-up the revmax will never get into the low needle.

Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone tried the old GV-1 trick on the Revmax? I really need to turn the Revmax off and try it just to verify that it is the Revmax. I was just wondering if anyone has tried this?

Flatline the throttle curve and let the RM take throttle out all the time. This is the preferred method of setting up the RM. If it were me, I would set the HS at a fairly sedate level until the engine beds in before you really hammer it but that's me.
