Ok, that's the way I placed my components:

This is my DS 760 setup:
http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff224/obdura/ds760_EP200.jpg
Gyro is (on Futaba) at 50% in normal mode and down to 30% in HH mode. The tail is stable in normal mode (it took me quite a while moving the tail servo forwards and backwards) and in HH mode too.
No noise problems with my setup. Hope that helps.

I do it like Bert Kammerer when he's flying the Hurricane 200:
LiPo right under the heli fixed tight with a velcro fastener!
Works like a charm! :)
So no LMFAO Mr. psindrup... :tongue

Hover with the mouse over " :rolling" when you reply to a thread. It'll read: LMFAO
Ok, wait, let me get my camera...

Thanks for the pics Slumber you definitely have an awsome camera :D
So I guess you did have noise problems when you tried to mount the gyro closer to the motor? I was wondering if I should have mounted it forward like that but I made all the wires all neat and everything mounted closer to the engine. I would hate to move it and find it's still twitching out. I'm also glad to see someone mounting the battery under the heli although with the flexy plastic skids and that thick 3S I'd be concerned with a sensitive lippo getting bang'd up on landing. I'll probably do the same though since I'm using 2S on the spartan build so it's less thick. Other option is to replace the spartan with a 401 since I know it's not as picky with noise in that location.

I like your setup; it's the first one I considered after seeing the Kammerer vid, but I was concerned about the center of gravity. How's it working out for you?

Thank you! :)
Speaking of center of gravity I think it's locacted somewhere in the middle of the main shaft. So the way I mounted my LiPo I think it's closer to the center of gravity. Works out perfectly for me since I'm no hardcore 3D pilot. :)

That's right but it's better to think of a brick falling from the sky... :YeaBaby:
This little monster is far to light than one could real auto it down... but trying is fun
I do not own a video cam but perhaps a friend will shoot it.
