Well all the posts he has had here on HF are in the classifieds. So hopefully you can come to a good conclusion on this.
You got a name and address and phone number?

It's getting really ugly for this guy on Helifreak.
He is involved with a transaction over there that is really ugly.
I started doing a little detective work, started a scammer thread for this guy on RR.
Dug some stuff up.

He has gone as far as leaving positive classified feedback for himself on his NEW account.

PM Spork and have him track the weasel down...

I know some cops in Maryland.. Wonder if they'd mind taking a drive out and asking ol' Stevie a few questions....

Tried calling, but of course, no answer. He'll probably give the same bull answer if he did. I called the Abingdon police today to file a report, but I have to go through local police first. Someone in his neck of the woods should pay him a nice visit and teach this guy how to play nice. I know we all work hard for our $$, and I really don't have $100 to spare. I already sold my heli to another guy, and promised him the gyro when it showed up. Now that's not going to happen, I'll have to pay him back.

I'll call my buddy in the MD State Police tomorrow and see if there's something he can do.. Maybe make a phone call or pay him a visit...

That would be nice. I don't think my local Police will do much for me. I don't imagine $100 fraud is top of their list. Let me and steeltoes know what he says. Heck, I should drive down the MD just to file a report, and teach this 'skid mark' a lesson.

Well, let's see if he responds. He has been good up until now, but always giving the same story that it shipped. BTW, if all you guys want to see the tracking info, here is the number for a package that was never sent.

Here is my latest email.

Steven,

Enough of the garbage story that you shipped my gyro with your tracking#. Refund my hard earned $$, which doesn't belong to you. You didn't mail my gyro, nor did you have the intention of doing so. And, you screwed over Steeltoes as well (seems he has a paypal dispute open on you as well). Says a lot about a person. Read the forums Steven, you opened up a whole can of ugly against yourself. Make things right, and stop screwing over people so you can make a quick buck. Be a man for once, acknowledge you made a mistake, and make restitution with those you ripped off.

Look at his email headers to you, Yes I'm a geek too. and it will let you know where he does his email. if it's a yahoo or hotmail account report him to them, a lot wont happen through them. but if he sent from his ISP (comcast ect...) report to them that he is commiting fraud through them. A police report will go a long way (yes you do have to start with your local PD) once you have the report you can sometimes get the ISP or mail account deleted for fraudulent reasons. If you want post the headers here and we can all email him our thoughts too.

OK, spoke with his (soon to be) ex this evening. They are seperated. She doesnt know where he is staying right now but will make some phone calls tommorrow. I also have a MD State Trooper thats is a buddy (real old family friend). Thing is right now with the one guy at $100 and Barry at $260 its a little short of the more serious theft over $500 (do believe thats the felony cutoff). I'll try and get ahold of Mike (my buddy) after I hear back from his wife. Will keep you posted.

I wouldn't buy into the 'ex' bit. I had worked as a financial collector for a major bank for a couple of years, and heard everything. It's nothing new for the wife or GF to cover for the hubby, just so that you can't get him on the phone. Don't forget, she is profiting equally as much as he is, if in fact they are still married. Come across that one too many times to shake a stick (or bat) at for that matter. Fact is, police is the only way this can rightfully be dealt with. Sounds to me like he keeps an empty paypal account. I thought they had the power to dip right into his bank in instances like this? Will have to wait and see. I spoke to the guy I sold the heli and "gyro" too. He was understanding. I'm not going to tar my name over this boogers mis dealings. I love how on the other form that people are advising Splix not to trash talk him....WHY NOT! Let's get the party started. It's the same guy! Camp on his front lawn and see what he does. My gut says he's not in Florida. Another con.

He was online Yesterday at 5:34PM. Some of these messages were posted before that time. So I would think he has read them. Sounds to me like he is going into hiding.

Just 'cuz he was on, doesn't mean he popped in here and read this...

Anyways, called my buddy in MD State Police. He's not sure he can do anything. While he is a sworn officer, he only deals with the air unit and most of his friends in the department are also air unit guys. He suggested filing a report with the local law enforcement agency and ask them to call whichever department has jurisdiction where the "dirtbag" lives and see if they can help.

Well well. Looks like there is a lot more going on here than I thought. I'm going to see what he does for me over the weekend. I'll give him that. He is at least replying to my PM's.
