help. tail wagging

have a mini titan with gy401 + 29650, when I put it into a steady hover the tai l would hold solid for a few seconds and then it would start wagging back and fourth quickly, then after a little bit more it stops and starts again. Can someone help me.

I am somewhat of a heli newbie so take my advice with a bit of caution.

My guess is your gain is set too high. By wagging you mean a right and left movement, correct ? Not an up and down movement ? I call the up and down movment bobbing.

What radio are you using ? You have the 401 operating in head holding mode ? Have you set tail center by turning HH mode on and off real fast a few times ? This is described in the manual that comes witht the 401. You are initializing the 401 in HH mode and not rate mode ?

I see you are using the Futaba.

I have a Futaba 7c radio, I have absolutely no idea which mode I am in or how to adjust the gain. The manual doesn't help :DOH
